not sure, my engine build comes with coated rotors, oil pump and bearings. I did pay extra to get the turbo, dp and rotor housings coated. www.Turblown.net can get you pricing info.

Watchout for some of those coatings. We have opened two engines that had the rotors coated and there were flakes of it everywhere.

Thanks for the heads up, I've researched a bit on coating, and found that this Polydyn coating was the best route.

Polydyn Performance Engine Coatings are applied so that a .0002" to .0007" overbuild remains on the surface, but there's a lot more to these coatings than meets the eye. PolyDyn fluoropolymers actually become a part of the coated materials surface; .005" t 0.50" actual penetration depending on the material. While some overbuild can be removed, it is virtually impossible to extract a polymer from the pores of the metal to which it is applied. Consequently, PolyDyn coatings will last almost indefinitely.

I can take an educated guess..

We lost a porsche engine directly due to piston dome coatings flaking off and tearing the cylinder walls apart.
