So a week has gone since i got home from england, and not much has been done. But i have lifted the car abit in the front. And made a intake box for the air filter.

It's a temp one, untill we can figure out a good way to make one in carbon fiber.

Oh and i had a visit on thursday from a US magazine called 0-60, they like the sound of the car

So here is some pictures.

even just out of aluminum, that intake looks great.

I have to ask though, why are there two inlets?

Cause my engine builder said it would be better to have 2 3" inlets then one 5 inch. To even the flow better. And i would agree.

Let's hope the 2 3" holes are big enough to give enough air for the 4 50mm throttle bodies

Thats not right..
If you calculate then you will see that a 5 inch hole has 37% more area then two 3 inch hole.

(If you flow test one big pipe against 2 smaller pipe with the same area then you find out that the biggest pipe flows more then the 2 smaller. The reson is that the 2 smaller have a higher friction resistance in the pipe wall.)

He didn't say anything about the 2 smaller ones having more flow or area. He just said the air flow inside the manifold would be more even (ie. the front 2 throttle bodies seeing more air than the back, and there fore not equal power out of all the bodies.

So i finished my temp intake box today. Christ it was difficult to get the trumpets on again with the box in between I need to make a better patent for the carbon fiber box

I need a patent where i can mount the carbon fiber box on after i got the trumpet on. And now it's abit dificult to change the plugs as well. So need to find a good way to get the intake box on and off easy.

Well here is a short video of the reving of the car with the new box

Holy mother of god

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i took the seven out for a test spin today on the road, before i head to a drag strip tomorrow, where they have this drifting event this weekend. Where im going to test the car on the track they have put up

all i can say is ...., it's sick sick sick sick and so freaking loud eheh

but damn it's sweet going up the range pulls so damn strong the entire way

and the intake box helped so much, it's alot more quite now then before. will see if i can have a video tomorrow of it driving on the drift track. i wont be drifting tho.

A small test today, on a drag strip where they have made a drifting "track" out of cones. To bad my camera crashed, so only have cell phone movies.
