Which Air/Fuel Gauge?

Which air/fuel gauge do you have, and where'd you get it? I like the Wolf Af1 style, but haven't found any wolf dealers...

Just pick up an Autometer A/F gauge for like 60 bucks. There are more expensive ones that come with there own Oxygen sensor but they can go from 300.

Yes, I have one but I bought it before I realized how useless they are. If you want to know your A/F you need a wideband.

Well I know it's not as good as a wideband, but for now, before I hit the dyno I want a general idea. Is it true that it doesn't read WOT correctly?

At the moment I have both in my car. My stock sensor meter show rich while my wideband shows 13.9:1, so at wide open throttle your stock meter will show rich but 13.9:1 is kind of lean at full boost really making it kind of useless.

I have a Haltuner. For the money I paid I could have gotten the Greddy unit. The greddy unit looks really good.

The haltuner shipped with its own o2 sensor. Not sure what type of sensor it was.

Does anyone know of one like the Haltuner, rather the same style as that and the Wolf AF1 that is cheaper and availible?

I have the greddy, it comes with a 4 wire 02 sensor.

It's supposed to be good and perhaps the best next to a wideband.

It has settled down but it does seem to be a bit erratic (maybe its accurate...) The instructions say to run it at extremely high speeds - WOT in 4th or 5th gear for about a half dozen runs in 10 minutes. I haven't been able to do that since I got my car back (engine breaking in still plus that means 120+ mph runs which i can't do safely around here). Maybe that's why its not so stable (they state it needs the break in).

I'm going to sell mine anyways. I've spent a fortune so far so a $1k wideband isn't going to kill me now.

Does the S-AFC show your readings?, if so, would it be logical to just purchase that instead of installing an A/F gauge?

Yes, the S-AFC CAN be set to read the factory o2 sensor.

I forgot what wire it has be connected to but it does read it. It reads mine.

Do a search...off the top of my head I think it was an used yellow wire. It is read only through sensor check. IT is the INT 3.

Really? What type of display does it have, as in can you get a real time display of the A/F Ratio?

You should consider going with an EGT sensor. It is more accurate to tune off the exhaust.

Tell me more! Does it just read the voltage of the 02, or does it actually display a/f's?
