Are AFRs the same on either side of a dual exhaust?
The car is coming together (yipeee) and Dyno Day is March 7. I remember from our last Dyno Day at Walker Dynotune back in September that the wideband o2 was placed in the tailpipe/muffler section of the exhaust.
However, there were no FCs at that dyno, and i think I may be the only one this time. I have the full Racing Beat 80mm Turbo exhaust. If the wideband only goes in one pipe (ie, driver's side, passenger side), does the AFR stay the same? Would it be neccessary to push the wideband all the way to, say, the Y-pipe? Or should I just let the dyno operator and Steve Kan take care of this?
Thanks
Victor

The rotors do not burn the same on one program .I think the front is leaner as the car goes down the road . but do not take my memory for fact . I read something on this on the PFC datalogging forum .They had a way to control the front and rear injectors with an offset to correct the effect .

Heat and it's a lot easier to put a tail pipe probe in then have to get under the car to screw in a sensor. Remember this is on a dyno, they have to put that sensor in many cars a day at times.

yes. thanks for all the input, guys. i was overthinking the whole thing.
no lift at the dyno, heh, so it is easier to shove it up the tailpipe.

There is actually a lift there so if you want to install a bung and run it in there you can. But really since your full exhaust with no cats you should be fine with just a tail pipe sensor.
