what kind are you guys getting/aim for?
my car seems happy at 12.2:1AFR fc with stock ports.

 

That's pretty rich.

 

If you think that's rich, I have 2x1680 cc injectors idling at 900 steady but with an AF ratio of 11.3 - 11.4 at 1.3ms. I would like it leaner but I wonder if that's possible with 1680 cc injectors....

I can can get as lean as 13.5 afr or just to about where lean misfire would occur with 1600cc injectors. Idle is perfect around 13.0 afr.

im running a megasquirt. i lean it out past 12.6 and idle surges

 

AFR of 12.5 is not to bad for that ecu injection mode/setup etc. but it also depends on the rest of the setup like fuel pressure and ignition timing at idle.

 

3.2 ms and 5" advance with stock fuel pressure

 

the leanest i can get with still a smooth idle is about 12.5.. with 750cc primaries, rtek 2.0, stock timing, stock ports.

crispeed, what timing are you running at idle?

 

I'm running close to 40* advance at idle. I think 5 is pretty conservative for no load ..............****, at 13psi I'm running more advance then that

 

take out some fuel and add some timming.

I can't get mine to idle happy any leaner than 12.5 at idle with an E8

mine runs smooth at .92 lambda and its a bridgeport..

jantore, I was under the impression that the autronic ecu's had some pretty badass injector control and could accurately fuel at quite low pulse-widths..

 

Let's see .92 X 14.7= 13.524!
Now my brain needs a break. That took the last bit of memory left. Time to re-boot!

 

So how much more control does sequential give you over batch injection at idle? Could the same afr's be achieved with batch injection with 1600's?

for my own purposes 2x1680 CC injectors would supply all of the fuel I could need. It would be cool as **** to simplify the system and just have one set of injectors.

Yes.
Your battery correction map has to be right also.

 

It depends on the ecu but most of the times especially with huge injectors sequential makes a difference.
