i think it is the opposite. cuz when they are shut you get bottom end power so if you remove them than they will always be shut so you will keep them bottom and lose the top. that is how mine is right now. cuz my tbe for them off the frech air tube broke.

I'm ok now.

I have a friend with the 5th & 6th ports wired open and emissions removed on his S4. It runs like a champ.

yea i removed everything a/c, emissions and manual steering leaving my car at around the high 2,500's lbs for a 86 hard top (as well as the omp and oil injectors so i run premix) and iv seen rx's with this mod i wasnt really sure if its safe but ill give it a try and video the diffrence and post it,

Yes you loose low end. Quite a bit. Not much to be gained w/ stock ports.

The pics attached are from a motor I built and modified the sleeves to not block flow at the ends. It has great lowend and still pulls very hard up top. The guy who owns it should be dynoing it in the next few weeks.

I have found it not worth it to remove the sleeves. Especially for a daily driven car.

Good luck w/ you decision.

You lose some low end and do not gain any top end. All you are doing is sacrificing some of your power lower in the powerband for the sake of simplicity. If yours work, keep them.
