Question 5" In / OUT SS MUFFLER

I have been looking around a while now for a GOOD stainless steel universal muffler with a 5" in / out pipe size . All I can find in this size is the AERO TURBINE one which I think was made for diesels , anyone know if a muffler this size is even made and where I can find one ?

The whole thing wouldn't be 5 " , because the turbos outlet is 4" , I plan to run a 4" dp to a 4" Borla XR1 under the car , from there I want to open up to 5" and put a 5" barrel at the back .

Sorry to let the the cat out zero r but if Marcel wants to ponie up for them I'll share my thoughts... I have run them for a number of years on a few race cars with much success, I have run a 3.5" version on a 500hp LS7 in grand-am including 24hr...the only issue's with them is that they will burn out the fiber/gropple packing in about a 4 day race weekend(sports cars) however this is not a huge deal since they are infinitely rebuildable. I am not sure if coast stocks 5" but they will usually build you whatever you want (for a price ). They are a race muffler and thats all....they're light, rebuildable and loud....110db with 3' secondaries.

They burn out, hmmm. That's not good, do they get even louder when they burn out?

And are u sure they are as loud as 110db? I hafto restrict my noise to 100db. So do u know of any other mufflers that i can use?

Ha, yeah I'm sure they are that loud...but remember thats with a very short secondary N/A v8 dedicated race car...there are many factors which will affect the DB reading not to mention it is very Dependant on how your sanctioning body measures it. yeas they get louder as the packing blows out....coast offers both a fiber packing(quieter but burns out quicker) and a stainless gropple (louder but lasts alot longer). any straight through muffler in that diameter is going to be loud and the packing will burn out over time...at least with these all you have to do is pull 3 10/32 screws and repack instead of buying a whole new one.

Do you guys think a 4" Borla XR1 as a resonator and one of these 5" barrels at the rear, would be loud ?

Ive orderd the Coast Fab muffler for my car. It's going to be interesting to try it out. It's a big beast, the 4" straight trough muffler. I got the 6" around version with a high heat packing inside.

Gonna try it out with a magnaflow in the end. Hope i can get my Bridge Port bellow 100db.

I got the Coast Fab 4" muffler today. And damn it looks sweet. So it's gonna be interesting to test it on my turbo bridge port engine.
