2nd Gen CAS question

Im having trouble with my CAS in my rx7' doesnt generate enough of a signal when the cars cold (turns over slower ) for my wolf to pickup a stable rpm signal

I have a pile of cas's i could use, however testing them one by one in a cold car thats been sitting is tedious

FSM says reistance between the top and bottem left pins, and top and bottem right pins's should be between 110-220ohms, the one in my car is 110ohms between both sets, the one next to me is 160, i bet i could find higher

do i want higher or lower of whats in spec?

Why not just take it out of the Engine and test each one with a drill and the ign On

We did this with a Megasquirt to try and work on it

Check the sensor-tooth gap. Smaller gap = larger generated voltage.

Thanks, the new one works way better as i expected, i am going to test more when i get a chance and see if one with even higher resitance works better. (running the 160ohm one now)

The car which usualy wouldnt registar a solid rpm with a good charge gave me 300rpm readings with the first 10volt test crank i gave it, still cant change my trigger pickup voltage from very low on starting, however i can probably change it for the running rpms so i get less noise
