20B into a B2200

My brother and I have acquired a 20B and he has a 1990 B2200 with a bad motor in it. He has been wanting to put some sort of rotary in it and now that we have the 20B that is what he wants to do. My search results found that about 2 years ago someone asked the same question and there were not a lot of answers. I am asking has this been done?? Or is it just unrealistic?? I would like some truthful opinions. Thanks in advance.

It has been done by a handfull around the world. I know Marcos Acosta put a 4-rotor in a B2200, but that was a pro-class drag truck.
I don't think it would be any harder than putting it into an RX-7.

we did one, using a b2600 2wd and a cosmo front cut. the engine is a little long to fit the bay, but it does fit. you have to make your own mounts etc. all the stock cosmo stuff fits in the truck engine bay although its a tight sqeeze.

the truck breaks the right rear tire loose at 4500rpm in the 1st 3 gears

Tub it or put some bags on concrete back there

Anyone know where I could get a rebuild kit for the 20B at??

j9fd3s-- What did you use for the driveshaft??
Right now we are talking about just using a cosmo tranny and rear end.

i'd put the FE3 into the car specifically since you don't even need to change motor mounts or trannies.

Ah yes... even beefier than an SR20DET... the FE3 kicks major ***. Just add turbo.

If I could find one cheaply enough, I'd put one in my FC!

It was in some Japanese-market 626's.

It was also sold here as the 4-cylinder engine in the Kia Sportage.
