+2 injectors?

Hi I currently have a microtech lt10 on my car and was planing on doing a semi peripheral proyect soon with 6 injectors 2 primaries on the block and 4 secondaries on the throttle mi question is... can i still use my microtech lt10 and but a microtch mt2 to control the 2 added injectors or I have to buy a micro lt12 obligatory?

does your screen 1 tables go from idle vacuum to boost ?
if you have 2- 28 psi in the aux screens here then you have inbuilt microfuel option
( which is in some LTx8 but should be in all LTS-10 )

that is,, you use the unused aux out wire for the extra injector earths ,, and write the map for it here
in ltx8 ( versions with only one aux out ) then you must have the aux fan ON function turned to off
and set the aux rpm on and aux map on flag trigger points to set the start point for aux stage control

Benyto, the LT10s can drive 2 low-impedence injectors per injector channel. So, the simple answer is you can run the 4 injectors in your TB from the 2 secondary injector outputs, it will just be a bitch to tune the transition. If you ever decide you want more injector (switch to alcohol or E85), you will need an injector driver box (FJO, AEM, etc) and run the remaining injectors off it.

Bumpstart, are you saying that the aux out on LT10s' can be used as a Ground PWM output and you can write a map for it, and basically create a third stage of injectors? Or would it just earth the injectors wide open?

i have run 6 injectors from the mid 90's ,, both microfuel, and paired off the secondaries
( and the tune isnt that far off a 550/1000 combo )
its a bit either way,, the micro fuel option is a crude way to map but an easy way to add to an existing tune

there is a proper microfuel option built into some Ltx8 and all lt10
if you have the micro ltx manual it will even say to the effects of
"if your ECU does not have micro fuel option the aux screens are disabled "

so in normal mode you access them form the screen 1 idle screen,, note it goes into boost scale up to 28 psi
in matrix mode they become the screen 2 aux options
,, and again the FSM here will state
" 10 setup screens for the aux function from 2 to 28 psi. these screens are used to make a fuel map for a microfueller injector if fitted "

I don't quite understand what microfueling is or how it adds more fuel, is it a "spare" injector driver, giving a PWM output?

yes,, a tertiary injector driver that you can write a map for in ms based of the MAP sensor load signal

as such the aux setup in the micro is rather crude but the fine tuning is done by instead trimming the main fuel map at the various rpm and load points

I understand now, thanks. But, I still think a better method is to use the signal from the secondary injectors to trigger an auxiliary injector driver box, like an FJO injector driver, and use the aux out on the microtech to only supply power and hence stage them further in the RPM/boost curve. That way after the second staging of injectors, you only have one fuel map to trim.

A little old now I guess, but oh well.

i think these new EV14 injectors , capable of low down fidelity,, and up top high flows ,, coupled to ecus with awesome resolution
are going to make tertiary staging a redundant method for future players

microfueling was something we had to do back last century when the cost to replace the stock injectors was quite high
,, and there wasnt many bigger options with any sort of fidelity

so,, ( back then )
,, adding another pair of 550's took you through 350 rwhp safely,, to the easy limits of the s4/5 engine blocks ( then )
but didnt effect your idle,, or make secondary staging horrible ,,as some of the other options would

as is,,for me ,,
when 1000 multechs became cheap enough,, and the method to mod them to 11mm rails became open source
then even the 6 x550 package went into the bin in preference for a well set up 2 x 550 + 2 x 1000 setup

Bumpstart,

this sounds good, I just checked my matrix map and I can adjust the aux tables,

on my lt10s I have my white wire available, I used to use it to activate my second fuel pump on boost, I'll use a boost switch for that,

white black, I use it for IAC,

white red, kicks the fan,

so I split the white wire to the two injectors ground on the plug's and run batery to the positive side of the plugs,

is this the right way to wire them?

havent messed with the software yet, how do I set it up to drive them?

not 100% on which the correct spare aux out is for you, on the LTX8 its the white one
-they only have the one aux out and its default is fan
that is,, you use the unused aux out wire for the extra injector earths ,, and write the map for it here
in ltx8 ( versions with only one aux out ) then you must have the aux fan ON function turned to off
and set the aux rpm on and aux map on flag trigger points to set the start point for aux stage control
auxFAN ON toggles the output to a simple open and closed to earth
( for fan or pump relay etc )

auxFAN OFF toggles the output to PWM,, and enables the auxRPMon and auxMAPon as the flags required to commence using the aux maps
( for PWM signal for microfuelling or other similar duty like auto gearbox modulation, boost control etc )

the wihite one has rpm and map on, on the lt10s,
I use it to triiger my second fuel pump on boost,
Its been a wile I will check the software later on tonight if I get the wiring ready
in the car,
I hope It has option to convert the signal to pwm
