I hear people saying both it is and isn't a good combination.Which is it?Im asking because im wanting to run a nitrous kit but in the safest way possible.Im looking for the best bang for my buck.

with more fuel and proper timing, people have had great results. Like anything too much will kill your motor. But if your engine is in good health. I don't see why a 50 wet Shot, wouldn't be a problem.

i would run it into teh intercooler if you didnt want to do a direct port

I always wonderd about injecting up stream so that it can heat up a little and not shock the hot apex seals. Does the fuel stay atomized enough or does it drop out somewhat? By being that far up stream.

I'm sure there is some adheasion los when injecting up stream, logicly it seems like direct port is the safest.

Bad idea. Good way to get nitrous backfire if your running a wet shot, and blow apart the intercooler couplings, or, even worse, the core. If you don't want to do it direct port, do it 4-6" in front of the TB in the elbow, giving a stright shot into the TB.

Generally, you always try to place your fogger nozzles as far away from its intake into the engine, and after the throttle body... this is not so much to avoid thermonuclear shock, but to allow proper atomization of the fuel.

Thermonuclear shock to the apex seals is not a problem. I've never broken an apex seal from it. Just because the nitrous comes out really cold, you also have to keep in mind the air it is injected to is already very warm.

Im sure you would have to run colder plugs, and maybe lose a little power off the juice.

My motor is in good health.I was planning on direct port nitrous injection or possibly staged.I don't want to waste my time and money for a small 50 shot unless it's staged like 50 then a 100 shot.If it's not staged i'd want at least a 75 shot.However I think I should have a FMIC,new aftermarket radiator & upgraded fuel system before I go off & do any of this.Thanks for your words of wisdom.

For how well-piced and effective nitrous controllers are becoming, they almost completely defeat the prupose of running dual stages.
I would personally set-up a dual fogger (one per each secondary runner) direct port wet system, jet the fogger nozzles for, say, 100 hp each, and then run a nitrous controller. I really like the new FJO/NX duty cycle controller... its pretty slick.

But none of this is worthwhile if you're still running the stock turbo. There is no safe way to run nitrous oxide on a TII running the stock-based wastegate, no matter how much you port it. Add nitrous, and it will creep.
