12A powered Go-Kart.

i know this has been done many times before, but i dont care, its fun as hell. any way, i have most the things i need, now a problem arised as i was planning it out...what am i gonna do for idle? im not using a tranny, imma have the motor directly connected to the rear end,so, i was thinkin of something to use for idle, and i came across a torque converter...can i use this for the idle, and then when i push the gas, i'll accelerate(how u spell it?)...i just need this and i can start building...thank guys.

use the bellhousing from a rib case tranny, clutch setup and the input shaft from a junk tranny. frabricate a case to support the shaft and bolt it to the bellhousing. all this attached to a sprocket will drive the rear wheels. work just like a regular go cart engine but with manual clutch.

I've got the bits to stack a single rotor 12A that would be perfect if you are interested.

Dude...Save yourself the time an effort. Drop a 13B turbo in it. You'll make a good news headline

It's funny...I'm building a 12A motorcycle (NOT a trike) and am doing EXACTLY this.

Years ago I also designed an eccentric for a single rotor 12A, as well a the necessary modifications to install two gears on a rotor for crazy high redlines...Never built it though.
