12A Bridgeport w/ Delorto

I have a 12A Bridgport with a Delorto. The last time the motor was in a car was a rally car. It seemed to have problems overheating with a double core radiator and the oil temps would climb as well (Stock oil cooler from 79-80 Rx7). The car was very hard to crank once it was hot also and real easy to flood.

My question is this. What jets and venturies are other running with the same or similar setups. I am wondering if the carb needs work or what.

Any thought would help.

Hard hot starting + easy to flood usually = worn out seals.

RE: worn out seals

Could overheating damage the springs under the seals?
Could used rotors in the rebuild have something to do with it?

It has been 7+ years since the motor was done. So I can not remember to much about the rebuild. The problems seemed to begin when we had it ported and built. We thought it needed more radiator at the time ( Stock turned into double core ).

I will have to pull the motor apart to get it ready to go in the new car, But I was wanting to find what jets and venturies others are using - to help with the investigation while I inspect the engine internaly.
