ok guys i have build a 12a turbo and it RIPS. i just want to know what the hell i did right or wrong ? it seems to me that ppl are going slower in the 1/4 mile than me, and it should not be the case. its stock port with a 47mm sk racing carb 180jets walbro255 fp, malory4309 fpr, (need bigger return line btw)msd 6a wasted spark ign.custom aluminum rad and e fan, rotaryshack 12at exhaust many, garbo knock off china turbo "super T70"twinscroll t3 flange running 8psi boost , china 50mm hks style waistgate"open dump", china hks style bov,BIG 3inch threw fmic and all 3 inch intake (i know your saying this guy must love Ebay ). i plan on replacing all china things if they fail. ehaust is all custome 3 inch 304L stainless mandrel bent PERFECT.(done by wolf aircraft, mad props they rool ). tires 225 50 15 hankook ventus rs-2) rota RB wheels. drivetrain is 84gsl 5spd 84 gsl rear end "R.I.P" (howls like all hell when on the gas. happend abut 10th holeshot at dragstrip) best run was 13.21 @ 103. and thats with cold street tires liquid first and second gear.deff could have shot a 12 sec with a good burnout, but rear end was on its way out going threw traps at about 7500-8 grand 3rd gear. i blow the pants off everything in town. list includes a zo6, many mustangs, subi sti, charger R/T, GTO , and many other fools not worth listing. i have many pics on facebook if you want to peep it send me a tell i will post. but back to the main Q what did i do right/wrong. i would love to hear feedback. hope you enjoyed the thred ps. i would love to say thanx to sand121 and rotaryshack for all your help thanx guys you made this project possible 5yr build, 79 sa22c soon to be sporting t2 4pots and maybe a ford 8.8

because it just blows my mind that this little 12a would rip so hard i just figured i must have done something!?! it far exceeded my expectations at only 8 psi boost
i just want to crank up the boost now but i know i will probably break something :/
just leaves me to wonder how awesome this cars going to be with a fd,s 13brew
because thats next i will work on getting some pics and vids 4 u guys

why are you so surprised? the 1st gen RX7s were very light and with an engine setup like yours, I'm surprised you're not going faster. maybe with a good suspension setup and slicks, you'll be in the 12s.

this is why the 1st gen is still so popular in Australia for drag racing.

lol not a mullet i grow out my hair for locks for love. but my best time put down was on cold street tires, and low boost, with a bent axle, and it was the first and, last good run. (rear end was shot after this one) i was having fuel pressure issues all day could not boost past 3 psi b4 she would break up on me, so some guy at the track gave me a wrench and i turned up the fuel pressure about 2 full turns on the jam nut (Mallory 4309) and z00m. i have the vid it pulled so hard i missed 3rd gear 2wice. 13.2s not bad for half a sec trying for 3rd :p no jokes. its deff a 12 sec car with some sticky's. but i did not build a drag car she is just for whipping the ****
out of those DBags whose daddy bought them a mustang for graduation. and in the proses she has become quite the monster
