Yes, there are a few. In Puerto Rico there is a 3 rotor rx7 called Siguel Racing. It produces aprox. 1100 whp. It runs the quarter mile in the high 6 secs. at over 200mph.

The pro-class 20B drag cars generally make over 1000 whp. Not many like to disclose exactly how much though, I've heard numbers like 1200 and even as high as 1350 tossed around, just hearsay though.
Abel, Siguel, and Acosta have all had 20bs making over 1k.

The most I've heard on a 13B is 950 whp, I can't remember the guys name but he's either in NZ or AUS, and frequents nopistons.com

I know it's kind of off topic, but do you happen to know the latest news about his RX-8 ?

Yeah, he's having nothing but issues with it so far, hasn't been able to run a good number and didn't get to run eliminations at the last NHRA event, this weekend he's at the NHRA event at Englishtown, he's run a 8.6 sec pass so far in qualifying, he's got one more qualifying pass left today, but he's got ALOT of catching up to do, seeing as the class will be consistantly in the high 6's by the end of the season. Look at www.nhrasportcompact.com for results.

Looks like he somewhat fixed whatever problems he was having, he went 6.8@190, even though he didn't back it up, at least he showed progress this weekend at Englishtown.

this isn't 1100 hp but I saw this 13bt drag motor for sale. It had a T-78 turbo and a whole bunch of other insane parts. It ran off alcohol, it had 800hp at 1.5 bars and he said he could safely boost it to 2.5. It was an automatic with a 6800 stall converter. The whole setup cost 25,000$ to buy it.

To kind of touch back on topic, if you head over to www.ausrotary.com you will find more info about 1000+ whp rotaries I bet... high HP rotaries just seem more comman in AUS/NZ/PR compared to US/CAN (let's not forget japan though!)
