Question 10 sec.

new owner of 1993 R1, which turbo can provide enough boost for street racing in terms of a 10 sec. quarter as well as a topping of around 150/160 mph.

I'd recommend the F&F200R

no, they have a new one out...way more power, the F&F3x. Its got some cool LED's on the compressor housing too! =o)

All joking aside blink, you are aware that you can't just throw a BIG *** Turbo on and run 10's right?

A good start would be to do some research, and make sure your car is in good working order as stock before you start throwing parts at it.

My TII with a DP/MP and a couple other basic mods (stock turbo etc.) went up to 150 before I let off... So, I'd assume your FD would be able to do it (although I would in NO WAY recommend going that fast).

To run 10's you'll need a large aluminum wing at least...

You car will go 150/160+ stock, but before you want to hit 10s take advantage of the forum and do your research. And if your looking for 10s you better have deep pockets, around $8k+ deep

$8k is a little bit on the low side, if done properly i would say ATLEAST 12k, which would include a rebuild and full street port.

The stock twins have, at least in one case, proven to be good enough for a 10 second timeslip. I think that most single turbos available can also provide the power you need to make a 10 second pass providing there is enough fuel, some type of aftermarket engine management, good tires, as well as a decent boost level and an adequate driver. Oh yeah, and about 14 grand wouldn't hurt either.

theres a car here runing 10.97 on stock twins, 4.77 final ratio, slicks, runing on a microtech ecu, and light weight every part on the car!

you dont even need that much if you have a good driver and some good tires. my friend has a time slip in the mid 11s with 350 whp on the efini twins. you should be able to hit tens with 400 or so and most singles can net that much on race gas at reasonable boost(i.e. 15 psi or so)

oh i just read hes talking about street racing...dunno anything about that :/

I went 11.7 on my old twin setup...only making 332rwhp and went 11.1 when single making 406rwhp. I would have eventually made it into the 10's with that setup. I trapped 126mph going only 11.3. My 11.1 pass was at 121mph. I think with the right driver it would only take about 400 to the wheels to go in the 10's.

Give me about a month and I am hoping to make that 10 second pass with only 400rwhp.
