Exclamation 1/4 time on this car...

I was looking into buying Chance's car. Unfortunately he hasn't responded to my PM's or responses to his thread. What I want to know is what you guys think his car would run the in the 1/4 mile (both E.T. and Trap Speed). Assume that I'm an average drag racer (not special but not totally pathetic). Here are the mods he's listed. It's a 1989 TurboII.

"Greddy Power Extreme exhaust
Racing Beat 3" downpipe
Bonez 2.5" midpipe
Apexi blow-off valve
Apexi SAFC
Walbro fuel pump
Autometer boost and air/fuel ratio guages on dual A-pillar pod
Remapped ecu by Corksport(E.L. Prototypes)
HKS 1.25" springs
18" Konig Monsoons/Yokohama Paradas"

Also, if I manage to get ahold of him so that I can purchase the car, is there anything that you guys can see that is needed ASAP? I'm thinking that an FCD, boost controller, and intake are the first things I'm gonna get. Thanks for your help.

P.S. For some reason the page's Search option isn't working. Can anyone tell me what the stock 1989 T2 runs 1/4mile?

P.S.S. Chance, e-mail me back fool! PLEASE tell me you haven't sold it yet...

doesnt the stock 89TII do 15's in the 1/4

that car you wanna buy will prolly be slowed down by the 18's.

you'd prolly do high 13's--low 14's with that car

mid to low 14's if it doesnt have an intake

im no expert though!!!

So.....full of questions....

Say I add an intake to those mods, then a boost controller, and bump it up from 8 psi (stock for the 89-91 engines right?) to 10-12. Any ideas as to the 1/4mile time after that? Would I need anything to else make that boost jump? If so, after THOSE modifications, how much boost can the stock IC and Turbo handle?

P.S. Does ANYONE know how to reach the user on this board, under the name "Chance", outside of the message board? Like a phone number or something??? E-mail me shilmulo13@hotmail.com

the stock i/c is good for 10psi with a stock turbo. unless your in cold weather then it can prolly handle a little more.

So then...

the I/C upgrade should be done pretty soon after? Does the FMIC that GReddy makes for the FC, require some modification to the radiator or anything like in the FD? How much boost is the stock turbo good for? I heard it was 12psi but I'm not sure....

btw Grimlock (Transformers right?) thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.

do the i/c upgrade asap! i dont know about any mods to the radiator when putting a fmic. i do know if you have the stock turbo some modding to the i/c piping to the turbo will need to be done. i have read the stock turbo loses its efficiency at 14-15psi. the safe zone is 12-13psi i believe anything higher and your taking a risk. i have taken mine to 13psi with no problems. but i wouldnt do it everyday though! i make sure its chilly out and only at nights. i did it one afternoon and it must of been like 80 degrees out. 13 psi in 80 degree heat with stock i/c is taking a risk but it took it like a champ.

i have notice that ever since i switch to full synthetic and premix i can get 13psi anytime. before i would only get 10psi.

yeah im a big time transformer fan!

Is it worth it....

Is it worth it to spend the cash to buy an electronic boost controller (i.e. the Apex'i AVC-R)? or should I just go with a manual boost controller?
