yep, just something to get the car up and running again. Money is an issue here. A friend has a carb setup that I could use to see if the engine will actually run. Getting it fo $100 from local salvage yard. Turning it over by hand, plugs were already out of it, it seemed to have very good compression on all 6 banks.

Im not sure of the time frame you have, but the labor to convert your Rx3 to FI with the factory set up is labor intensive. Your going to need the stock coils, engine harness and the harness that goes behind the dash board, fuel lines and fuel pump. The harness behind the dash board has the timing trigger for the leading coil and trailing coils. Most of the dash harness you don't need. You might start with 300 wires and by the time you finish striping the harness your going to be down to about 80 wires. I have done this before is is kinda of fun but time consuming. If the carb is available, you might be better of with a carb.

I think I will go with a carb. I already have a 13b 4 port RB intake for a holley, if I could only find one of those 4 to 6 port adaptors. The holley I have on the stock 12a in it now will work nicely. Well, guess that solves that prob.
Thanx for the replys tho.

3/4 chassis, tubs, 13B REW, methanol and an air shifted g force would be the easier conversion of the options available...an N/A 13B is just to hard I heard
if I had that kinda money, it would look better than it does now. Maybe if I use aftermarket ecu's, do they come with the wiing for the injectors and such? This is a daily driven car.

so I could buy an aftermarket ecu and have that '88 engine running in a couple hours without having to pull all that wiring outta that other car. I would love to use the FI if it doesn't get too expensive, I can do the labor, no prob and the time it would take isn't a prob either, we have another vehicle I've been driving to work.
