VR6 Golf. w00t
On my way home from school (traveling on a highway.) There are stoplights on the highway. So I hit a stop light and a guy in a VR6 golf (new one) pulls up next to me. I don't even look over but I knew it was a race. Light green, pop out right infront, he is on my *** but doesn't gain anyground, or lose any, we hit about 60-70 before we slow down. We happened to hit the next upcoming light together, and I am just sitting there and I hear this? "Hey does yours have a turbo?!" LOL! so I look over with a big smile and I am all "Nope no turbo!" And I gave him a quick rundown on my simple modifications. I told him I was putting down about 170-180hp.
His VR6 seemed to be flat out stock. I even asked "You got 200hp?" and he responded yes.
We also went again at the second stoplight, but it was a quick burst run that only went to about 50 mph. Same result.

You make 146 stock. But that is on a perfect engine, Mazda would not send out flywheel ratings from an engine with 40 thousand miles or 100 thousand miles.
Dyno it, its the only way you know. I'm guessing I'm personally making 150 to the flywheel, with a perfect engine. And I have a exhaust (cat-back also) AND a true cold air system.
