turbo rotary vs n/a rotary

my friend bought an 86 rx-7 SE like a month ago, pretty clean car. today he goes to my grandparents home and he ask me to take my TII out to have a little fun so i agree since i haven't race anything in a long time, he tells me to go from a dig so i accept, we hit it and my cluch meet was bad, i knew it was bad because i spun my tires like crazy and i never spun my tires i always slip the clutch, i was reving my engine to go at 5000rpms but when i launched and saw my tachometer i launched at 7500rpms and i spun tires like crazy, he also spun tires but he got grip faster than me, i spun all the way through second until i finally grip, hes like half a car in front of me but when i grip i gain on him fast and whe were neck to neck, i wasn't completely hitting the pedal because there was oncoming traffic and i wasn't to confident i was like 70 or 80% throttle and he was right at my side, i know he was taking his 7 at high rpms cause he didn't shift fast, at that moment i just had enough and floor it 100% throttle so i can finish this, and so it was i took him by 2 car lenghts and had to stop cause a car in the middle. i got to tell you i had race another n/a with street port, msd, cat-back etc and i beat him hard but i race today with my friend who just got an intake, cat-back no a/c, no p/s and he satayed right besides me, either my car is running bad or hes a good driver, i was amazed that he kept with me that long.

my mods are koyo radiator,fpr,safc2,rb turbo back exhaust, walbro 255fp,spalm e-fan and running 10 psi.

Lol...You got to get back in the game more often. Makes you feel good whenever you beat someone. And with a car like that you especially need to get it out more often (not to race all of the time...but just to play around) Nice kill, and nice car!

i swear SEs are like the unkown GTUs because they are light just like an '86 so the are quick little mean *****'s!

i didn't quite like the manual windows or 4 lug wheels and single pot calipers though.. but it was quick for an n/a almost 20 year old car!

yea...Unfortanly mines the 12a...And I have yet to actually drive it in town legally. Whenever I bought it the throw out bearing was out, so I didnt want to drive it. Then I bought the Datsun 280sx thats straight up wicked for it's age and size. And I cant afford to drive both right now. If no one buys my car then i'll make it a weekend race car because I just dont want it to sit in the garage and go to waste..

its funny my 88 SE still on its original motor with 150k miles (only performance mod is RB exhaust) will keep up with my brother's S5 GTU with intake/racepipe and fresh streetported rebuild. he always gets pissed haha
