tell me what you all think couple kills
ok i just picked up a 91 t2 105000 miles great condition with full done suspension but i think the motor is stock. so heres what i raced tell me if it is stock to the best of your knowledge. first a turbo 420a eclipse fully built on 7 lbs and won by 2 carfs. then a full built gsr integra on 10psi and won but was passed at 105mph also a 12psi built supercharged scion tc by 5 to 6 cars and last but not least about an hour ago i raced a mostly stock rx8 and killed him by like 6 cars what do you guys think
i have an xr1 borla resonator and an intake elbow. the tc said he ran 13.1 but i think its bs and the integra said 13.0 so i dunno it spins first second chirps third hard and chirps fourth. im just trying to find out what could be done that i cant see
Well then its defo not stock. My car has a fair bit of work done to it and best i have gotten was a 13.4 still on the stock turbo, from what i gather its hard to get much faster than that on the std turbo
I raced a civic hatch (lighter than an integra) and he runs dead even with me, but he has a fully built (intake/exhaust/cams/computer/internal engine/don't think it's bored though) ls vtec. The guy you raced is supercharged, but that may be why he thinks he's a 13 (not saying he isn't, just saying slapping a supercharger on a gsr doesn't automatically make it 13 flat who knows what was done to his engine.) If you find someone with a timeslip, You can find out a range for your car, but even then there's quite a bit of room between a 13.0 and a 13.5.
Maybe you can start with what the boost guage says when you are at full boost. Also some pictures of the engine bay if you can. It'll be tricky to find out what was done as there are so many things that affect the performance.

. I would suggest making sure that the car can handle that kind of boost before running it. If you don't have the fuel, the car would detonate and that means new engine. But hey now you know it's not "stock"!
Super lucky! car might already have a FCD....most people are smart enough to get it when they open up the exhaust cause the turbo will creep up alot. still.....15psi is WAY too much on the stock turbo. bakin cookies on the intercooler LOL
I think the term "fully built" is used too often when its not really "fully built". When I think "built", I identify that as everything is upgraded. So either they weren't built, something was wrong with their cars, or they are terrible drivers.
I had a '88 10AE with RB 3" exhaust, ported throttle body, intake, FCD, Jacobs ignition and a '91 turbo, boosting 8psi. With low traction in 1st, and slipping clutch 2nd and 3rd gear, i ran a 13.6 @ 103mph. Was on a cold/slick track w/o burnout.
You should be running better times if your trapping at 103mph.
