My friend just got done racing an RSX. T2 has custom port job , racing beat exhaust , no power steering and no air conditioning. its an 88 10th anniversary and since i dont know much about fc's i was wondering if anyone could tell me about how much horsepower he has and what he would possibly run in the 1/4. also it was a Type S that beat him and i was wondering what mods would the rsx have to have to beat the T2 in a 1/4 by about 2 and 1/2 cars
the rsx wouldnt let us look under the hood and i think it was sprayed cause it looked like the exhaust spit a littl bit when he hit 2nd gear and the T2 was not driver error so i dont know. we dont know anything about the fc so we were wondering if anyone can give us a rough estimate on what it is putin out to the wheels at least if you have the stock car info that would be helpful. we are just baffled cause this **** just doesnt happen
he must have had something. A T2 with those mods should easily take a near-stock RSX-S. The K20 motor does do pretty well with boltons though. I think intake/header/exhaust can get like 15-20 hp on them.

You know what's hilarious?
When I was still breaking in my stock turbo TII, with gutted cats and a K&N drop-in filter, I raced an RSX on the freeway. It was a Type-S with at least an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. I slowly made my way up to where he was driving, while remaining in 4th gear. I got next to his door and "made my presence known". After about 2 seconds, he down-shifted into 3rd and took off. I remained in 4th gear at about 70mph (turbo slowly spooling) and although he pulled away, as I reached 85+, I began pulling on him, while running 6.5psi! As we 'kept at it', he tried to get over into my lane, because there was a car coming up in his lane and I had caught up, to the point where he had to slam on his brakes to avoid rear-ending the car in front of him!
That being said, I would've smoked him had I down-shifted into 3rd gear as well... I had 800 or so miles on an 85psi compression, stock turbo, 6.5psi boost motor...

What's a custom port job (eg. small streetport, large SP, halfbridge full bridge?!) and does he have some kind of fuel mods to support the port job and racing beat exhaust!?
an FC on stock turbo and stock ports i know of made 240WHP on the dyno with just an Rteck ECU to compensate for extra boost.
So unless that guy is making a good 40 - 50WHP more then stock i don't see it beating a TII unless the TII has some issues. Again this is assuming it's a Type S, which you don't seem to be to sure about.
BTW, just a little pet peeve of mine. But, last time i checked headers are part of your exhaust, so why list it as a separate modification when your already listing exhaust.

I took my freinds Stock RSX (Base Model/Non-tYpe S) w/ a 91 N/A w/ CS Catback and HKS Intake...
Seems weird....Its either a Type S or/and Has Sumthing special under that hood that he;s hidding
i just raced him at about 1:30 this afternoon in my FD and i beat him but it was only by about a car. and it is not a type s. its only a 5 speed. we raced from a dig and i immediately pulled about 2 cars on him and throughout the run he gained another car but i started pulling him again in the middle of 4th and he let off. i got to look under his hood for a split second before he slammed it in my face and he had electrical tape around his fuel injector wire and when i started following the lines to his fuel rail he immediately said he had to go and closed the hood on me. i hate people like that. he told me he wasnt sprayed but i guess that answers it
yea, i'm sure he's got the no2. type-s with all bolt ons and everything just barely breaks in to the high 13's. a TII with stock turbo and exhaust with higher boost can easily hit low 13's. if the fc you are speaking of truly has those mods... this rsx should have been cake. so yea... he's hiding the naawwwwwwssss. that's pretty gay that he won't admit it. a power adder is a power adder. who gives a ****.

damn rsx are fast but this is wat i think man n/a cars will never have potential like turbo cars . especially turbo rotarys my god theyre fast , i think only way the t2 losing is if it beats its self ( the drive ) . just like my friend who has an s2000 he thinks his **** is soo fast and he is soo cocky . he told me that he lost to an old school maxima TURBO , he wasnt actually sure but i was like maxima turbo ya rite. soo i really think ur friend with the t2 beat himself wen he raced the rsx.

the latest RSX (especially type-s) are no jokes. Their motors are superior to the earlier ones and from what I've read on other forums, they (contrary to most other Honda motors) react very well to bolt-on mods. The latest Type-S will easily eat up S2000s with some simple mods.
iono doode , s2000 are pretty quick . to me fwd will always be fwd , thats y i leave them alone .get wat im saying , but again most of the time u race ur racing the driver . even though the car is fast doesnt mean the driver is .
adrock3217 how bout you quit being a dick and come down to FL. the name is not I need A rx7 and the fact is i had a nissan 300zx when i made the name so quit bolwin useless **** out of your ***. furthermore whoever read this thread and doesnt believe me merry freakin christmas cause next wednesday you get a video of both the T2 and my FD along with the RSX. and we've fixed the T2's boost leek

yeah i'm completely stock including exhaust but the rsx hangs out in interlachen. its around palatka and keystone heights. lol you would make that kid **** a brick
