stock 1988 TII, what would I need to beat a 1996 Cobra?

I was kidding on that comment back to Adrock, he and I both knew what I was talking about. We had the talk in AIM. So you get a cookie for being a ****.

Lol..

So much bad information in this thread..

Jager was right on about everything though xD

Ok, point A..the thing that sticks out the most to me. Who rebuilds a 5.0 to 250HP!? What a waste of a build, man!

Point B..do not install an FCD without some way to control fuel. SAFC2 will work fine, although is obviously not the best route, as it has its limits.

In my experience..RTEK is generally a waste. An FCD and SAFC2 will do almost as much..and a Megasquirt is less money, with standalone power. If you don't have the skill to put it together yourself, you can buy a pre-assembled, plug-n-play Megasquirt for just $100 more then an RTEK from Tofuball on the forum..

My dad owns a Whippled 97 .

250HP out of abuilt 5.0? Your friend sucks.
yea, if the guy is a good driver like you say, but bootleg already said that the cobra guy ran 14.0 in 1/4 mile.

And the 5.0 guy im racing isnt really my friend. I just met him cuzz the compaines we work for are right next to each other. And thats what he told me, but i did hear that he ran more but i dont kno how much. He does have intake, exhaust, header, cobra intake manifold and its barely broken in on the rebuild.

I've raced an '04 cobra at the track a couple of times......at the 1/8 i'm right there....but that thing pulls hard up top. He beat me by 0.3 - 0.4 evertime...he had a catback and et streets....they're pretty sweet rides...nothing like the '96.
