nice ricer fly-by....jk
but nice kill i guess but i here sr20 s13s are over rated and with just the swap and a stocl engine they wont even make it out of the 14s. i dont think there worth the swap to do your self but if you could find one with one allready in it i might move for it.

A few years ago a friend of mine killed one with a bone stock fd from a dig....pretty much looked the same. Pulled on him from start to finish in a parking lot to about 60. It was SAD!
Just like us, stock SR20DETs do not make all that much power...what like 220 if that? Plus arent they a bit heavier also? Whatever, FMIC and all Good Kill!

Why is that sad? I would hope that an fd would be faster than a stock sr20 powered 240. Fd's puts out 255 while the s13 sr20 puts out 205.

yeah the sr20 swap is way over rated, there slow as ballz and they just have hype cuz its jdm, if u wanna see what a real sr20 can do get a standalone, injectors and a bigger turbo. That thing with run up on somethings but stilll slow

I think i have encountered the same S13 on the 210 near the 134. He drove next to me trying to show off his aftermarket BOV sound. I didnt race him because at that time i didnt know what my A/F was since i just had my FC running. Good kill though Mike!

I thought the idea behind getting the SR20 is to see the most response from minor mods. Anyway you look at it, good kill.

Good point. It could have been a KA-T. You can buy the td06 kit for it.

UMM, a good friend of mine put a RED TOP in his 240 he has a FMIC and he ran a 13.2@ 22 PSI against a SRT-***

22psi on stock turbine? The t25 on the red top's max efficiency is reached at 14psi. Your not gaining any hp after that. Just killing the turbine. Even the t28 that comes on the black top looses it's efficiency after 14psi. Also the stock head gasket won't handle 22psi for long.

And Dwayne SMOKED that 240.

be careful cause if someone in your area has a setup like my S13 240sx, u might be suprised ... ( i got some infos on my page in my signature , its mostly about my rx7 , but u have like 3-4 pics of the 240.... )

instead of swapping a sr20det , i have a RB25DET Skyline R33 96 gts-t engine !!
its a beast, brought it up near 300kmh .... but i love my rx more tho !! i love the sounds of the rotors spinning & spinning & spinning & spinning & spinning & .... i think u get the point !! :p

Be careful nothing...this is precisely why I do this!!! Its fun to win but Its WAY sweeter when you beat something special.
Then again, if the ones with the bolton SRs are slower than bone stock FDs what are the chances of someone doing a RB right. Nevermind squeezing it!

Its all in good fun!!!! thats untill I loose...

I thought the KA-T was faster with the 2.4L engine? so that would make the sr20 look worse.

I think the Ka motor's are all 2.4l. They made a KA24D and a KA24DE, I believe. The DE is the one from the Nissan trucks, have a bit more torque.

KA24DE has DOHC and was rated for 15 more HP and prolley more torque. any KA-T i have heard of makes no less than 400hp so if it was a KA-T you must be rollin almost that much hp too =p

ka24e = sohc ka, 89-90 240sx
ka24de = dohc ka, 91+ 240sx

and yes they are all 2.4 liter, as you can see from the 24 in ka24.

usually a basic ka-t starts at 200ish hp on 5psi or so. depends on how the person put it together. you can't get much higher on stock internals. of course it depends on how good the owner is at tuning it. the highest hp built ka-ts are in the 5-600 hp range right now.
