s4 t2 vs wrx

how close would this race be?
we have the classic hot headed younger guy with a newer 2011 wrx(NON sti) stock vs s4 t2 stock ecu, fcd, rb rev2 complete exhaust, gslse secondaries, streetport@ 9-11psi....im sure itll be close.
i know the wrx is stock but yet its over 20 years younger and AWD...

That's funny that you ask because I actually raced by buddies 2011 wrx in my s4 t2 with a similar setup. I had a street port, fcd, full exhaust, act clutch, 9lb flywheel, running something like 8 psi. I was on stock ecu and injectors that were cleaned and flowtested. Indeed the race was VERY close. I honestly felt as if I was pulling just a little at the top of each gear. Not much, but a little.

With those bigger secondaries and extra pounds of boost you should pull him! I'd get an mbc and crank it to 12 just for good measure!

Yeah I think you'll take hime. Don't even think about going from a dig though! Also doesn't hurt to not have a full take and no passenger!

Regardless, unless you're running two step you will be playing catch up all the way through third gear at which point the stock turbo starts running out of efficiency. I think you'll still win but seriously the way those subies launch is no joke.

BACK IN MY DAY wrx's were ******* slow.

Light mod S4 TII would ruin a light or mildy modded bugeye WRX no problem. Catch him by the top of 1st, say goodbye in 2nd.

New ones are probably faster though.

New ones with the 2.5L engine are definitely faster. Just a few months ago I pulled a bugeye with a td06 and supporting mods in my 60-1 fc. Don't think he was expecting that. First thing he said after was "Lets go from a dig." lmao It's super hard to launch my car. 1st gear is worthless because when boost comes on goodbye traction.

I agree. But I guess I will find out older subies wouldn't be a an issue. But this newer one does seem to be a whole lot faster than the bug eyed model. I have got to launch this thing tho... I will race him Thursday night. Wish me luck with the money I will make hopefully fund for my car to get an ecu...

I was pretty proud. But I really wanted to see what my stock ecu can do. I might have to call him out in front of ppl... make him want to run
