wow this thread is making us look like we know nothing about other cars.

you can not just bolt on a rb26dett on a 240. it is equivalent to getting a 20b in a 7, there is lots of modification and isnt worth it. adding to that the rb26dett is made for GTRs and its awd drivetrain not fr. going further if your buddy has a rb engine it is either an rb20det or a rb25det which is in skylines but in the GTS which is a fr car unlike the GTR with a rb26dett and is a AWD

It would probably only be really fair to compare N/A to N/A and F/I to F/I. Not too many N/A rotaries can beat an N/A S2K, and yes there are F/I S2K's but they are changing the whole idea behind the car and so do not often come out with decent power (not counting those that pour enough money into it to make it work).

Agree, but for 5500 i would hope to be faster than 12.7

That's why I pointed out the fact that if you put enough money into it it's possible. Apparently not even $5500 is enough.

S2k's are not little bad cars but i personally dont like them, to me they represent Honda's attempt to try and steal some of the market away from Mazda with the Miata not that i really care about market share i just don't like Honda's cause every little guy in my city with can get one for $4000, paint it put some really ugly body kit on it install a fart canon, intake, then have the nerve to call it fast. that really pisses me off, thats why i want a FC NA that will kick the **** outta them (more than just stock would do) cause i really hate all this ricer BS.

The funny thing about Honda's is the fast ones look slow and the slow ones look fast.

well, since you said ok. this is a guy i know, always hits the sacramento track. he's from here (salinas, ca) but im sure you can take him, after all, honda's ARE slow, right? this is just a preview, he's boosting more, so that kinda says something about his new numbers.. so.. umm, yeah just watch.

So true, so true! I've seen more than one POS Civic run in the high 10s. My old roommate's '02 S2K has 401rwhp. SOB beat me to the 400 mark. But seriously, even when it only had 343, it was sick fast.
