S2K... I'm so happy!

SO I'm at a red light next to this Honda S2000 and the lane merged about 2 blocks up the road. The light turns and we go. We were exactly side by side until i hit third then I jumped out about 4ft in front of him. Then it was clear that he was not going o slow and let me over even though I had betten him so i hit the breakes and merged behind him as he burned by me prolly thinking he won. I love my car.

83 GSL with gslse 13b 45dcoe, and exhaust. No porting at all.... And if you must know My best 1320 was 14.6@91 mph. And 140 RWHP@6300rpm

Not bad, what 13B are you running?

Full exhaust (including header)?

Sounds like you raced their turd year in '03 when they ran a 14.9 though.

turd year? since when were the 03s any different then the 00-02s? They all were pretty much the same, and came with a 240hp 2.0l (F20C) and usually run in the mid/lower 14s.

Good kill, show those hondas whos boss!

Maybe they added a different final drive, i don't know, but according to magazine racing, the '03 was a bad year.

2000 Honda S2000 5.5 14.2
2003 Honda S2000 6.3 14.9 (Manual)
2004 Honda S2000 5.8 14.2 (MT Mar '04)

I'm pretty sure they all had 4.1 final drives....those are just random times that some dude somewhere got....they mean nothing. Why would honda lower the final drive on a car thats already critized for having no torque and a very high powerband?

Who knows, Honda does weird things, like make their engines spin backwards.

the k series and f series don't spin backwards. I allready said it was a GSL-SE 13b. Crappy 6port with the sleves removed. And Hondas are my second favorite affordable car and I've never heard of the 03 being slower than the others. The only change was when they changed the engine to the f22...

The only difference between a honda motor and any other motor is the belt drive is on the drivers side, as opposed to everyone else having the belt drive on the passenger side. Good kill, I enjoy seeing 20 year old cars beating brand spankin new cars.

Whoops, looked over that because it was written in all lower case insted of formatted correctly.

Not bad, i miss my GSL-SE.

Loki, like Hyper4mance2k said, most Honda motors spin backwards aside from the K and F series. There's other cars with the belts on the driver's side, Mitsubishi has quite a few.

You know, I would mind having an S2000. I'd do things differently than most of the kids do with em though. Nice kill.

... Oh my god! I never thought of that. Skulls are kinda gay, but I like the flat black thing. But then again, flat black seems to be the new "candy paint" for ricers and whatnot. Of course, this fad is making low budget muscle car owners somewhat cool again.

Nah, I'd do something like drop a 2JZ or a 20B in the bastard, or if those are too hard to come by, just build a badass F20/F22. Hell, its a pretty damn stout motor to start with.

Most powerful production N/A 4cyl, i can't think of a turbo 4cyl that has 250hp off of the top of my head either.

I was just teasing you about the skulls and ****, i was expecting another outburst from you about it so i could laugh. :P

Pfff, nah. I've pretty much given up.

Can you imagine what kind of power you could get with a turbo'd F series? I recall a while back where Super Street had one with lik 835hp !!!

But they rely on forced induction to make those numbers. The S2000 is N/A.

D'oh, should've put a little more thought into it before posting.

I was thinking of cars around the year 2000 era and before since that was around the release of the S2000.

well if your thinking about 2000 and before, you can always look at the Lotus Esprit SE/S4/S4s the SE came out in 89, the S4 in 93 or 94 and the S4s in 95. stock with a 2.2L 4 cyl the SE and S4 had 280 HP and the S4s had 300 HP. this is factory bone stock... so there ya are, 250+ HP off of a 4 banger before 200(and actually a decent bit more than 250 hp) either way, just thought i'd let ya know. and since the SE/S4 engine engine was in production cars by 1989, i'd think it safe to say it was developed in 87/88, maybe even slightly before.

hyper... the viper, do some math, 500 HP / 8.3L = 60 HP/L just for kicks let's take the 405 HP 5.7L LS6 405 HP / 5.7L = 71 HP/L I could show you many other examples
