Well im sure that over the years nissan has upgraded their stuff, or id hope so at least, but my 280z 77 is the slowest thing ive ever owned i honoslty think my 84 jeep would beat my z, i love the body styles of all the z cars but the ones ive driven just plainly suck, im sure the 350 is a huge step ahead of my 280 but the rx7s were beating them in the 70s and 80s so im sure they still are :P

i know this isnt what the thread is about, but 350z are my pet peev(even worse the infinti g35) the guys go around trying to look all hard pretending they have fast cars. I normally pick on them for giggles. We do have on pretty fast turbo 350 around here, but he can't manage to keep it running very long.

anyhow, i agree with the original post. please, don't post kills that didn't happen.

Speaking of Dealerships..... This reminds me of the day I was driving by the Nissan Dealer in my last FD. This was a couple years ago. The FD was stock at the time with 17,000 original miles. Out of the lot comes a sales person and a prospective buyer in a new 350Z. Of course the sales person in the pressed shirt and tie is driving, beating the **** out of the new engine before break in is done. Ooooo I want that car. LOL He pulls up next to me while we are rolling about 30 mph or so and they both smile at me, then nailing the 350 Z. I followed and smoked by the guys waving. They pulled up to me at the next light and looked pretty sad. I wonder if the customer purchased the car. LOL

On a more serious note, I can vouch for 350Z hardtop 6 speeds being "quick"
Keyword is "quick" not FAST. An FD is fast. I truly beleive that 350Zs are capable of very high 13s properly broken in with a good driver. Not only are stock FDs faster, but very few FDs are stock any more, and they also respond better to mods. So with all due respect, these punks with their ultra fast (they think) 350Zs can kiss flame-broiled bumper.

Let this be a lesson to you. Go after the "nerdy" ones in high school.
yeah, in high school the nerdy, fat, or ugly ones get hot after

Well in my "slow" and "out of date" FC I destroyed 2 350Zs, a Str4,(buddys) new cobalt SS, and even got to go with one of the new eclipses(bow down what?).

Now honestly I can't see why you guys knock the T2...... I understand that the FD is faster and thats great, but don't try to ride on my car for it...... Once you start to mod a car stock numbers no longer matter.

Reason I never post in the kills section is because I don't have a camara( getting one ). I understand that some ppl BS their storys, but for the most part the ppl on this site are mature enough to stick to the facts.

just my 2 cents, plz don't knock on the T2.. The same heart beats inside as your FD.

Mods: Mild Streetport, Ported Wastegate, Moded TB, 3' turboback corksport exhaust, HKS racing suction intake, FCD, Greddy boost controller set to 12 PSI, 720 sec inj, Walbro FP, removed emmisions, ABS, PS, AC, and other weight reductions(2600lbs).

p.s. Go figured my car will hand brand new "sports" cars their ***... but its still "slow" and "out of date" who would have guessed? (sad that came from a 7 owner...)

I had a 2003 350Z roadster. I'd say it was about as fast as a stock turbo 11. My FDs in stock trim were much faster.

I seriously doubt a stock T2 can beat *any* stock 350Z unless the driver just can't drive at all. We are comparing a low 14-sec car to a low 15-sec car.

Is it a proven fact that a stock TII is a low 15 second car? I can't find any stock timeslips here so I'm guessing you're using the same 15.1 rating that seems to be accepted by everyone. If you look at every magazine timeslip for a Celica GTS it says that they are all 15.5 second cars, but in reality there are people getting around 14.7 completely stock. Driver counts for nearly everything, and you can't just say that every stock TII will run a 15 and every stock 350Z will pull a 14.

I beat one of those Acura rsx type S or whatever. I have a TII converted vert running 6-8psi with a nice big front mount. It's not a 350z but the power to weight ratio is almost the same, could be user error but who knows.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET TECHNICAL

since the 350z has 300hp & weights 3360lbs
and the Turbo II has 200 and weights 2900lbs

the turbo II will need exactly 255hp in order to smoke (not keep up) a 350z. that is baised on the power to weight ratio from CarAndDriver. Is it me or are the cars getting heavier and heavier these days!

a greg is the 350z faster than the G35 or is it the other way around?
