There are multiple guys who are well known on the corvette forum who have BONE STOCK Z06's and have run 11's. They are tech inspected before and after, right down to the paper filter. You don't know what you are talking about.

Some of you guys are simply unbelievable. The proof is there, but believe what you want. A bone stock Z06 is CAPABLE of 11s. Will 99.99% of the cars/owners have the power from the factory/driving ability to run 11s? No. Has it happened? Yes.

Is it impressive that a modded TII can keep up with a $50k Z06? Absolutely.
Why can't you guys just be impressed that a stock Z06 has been driven into the 11s?

Because then it would make a BONE STOCK american car faster than 90% of the RX-7s on the forum. ...lick on these nuts and suck the dick....

Look out for the new LS7 Z06 !!!!
OMG thats quite possibly the perfect car, stock that is
505hp and 18MPG! I dont know if both those numbers can get higher
On the magazing it said it runs a 11.7 at like 124mph. 0-60 in like 3.7 seconds... Thats Ferrari performance for like $65,000 But then again, think what that much money could do to an Rx7 Hell, thats close to street bike performance!

Flame war? The GT500 has NOTHING for the C6 Z06. It is going to weigh close to 4000 lbs; therefore, it's going to need AT LEAST 25% more power to be able to hang with the C6 Z06. That's not even considering aerodynamics where the Z06 is obviously at a greater advantage. Don't get me wrong, the GT500 is going to make good power. I won't be surprised to see 550 rwhp with bolt-ons; however, the C6 Z06 is making around 450 rwhp stock, 490 rwhp with an intake and headers, and close to 550 rwhp with an intake, headers, and a cam.

Here are two of my runs tested in the same location on an average roadway.
my 2003 Z06 vs. my SPF Shelby Cobra.

I've seen some pretty lousy drivers and some pretty good drivers in C5 Z06s with 1/4 mile times from mid 13s down to high 11s. You can run high 11s in the 1/4 in a stock Z06 if you can pull a decent 60ft time in the 1.xx s.

I have no doubt in my mind a z06 ran 11's, I also have no doubt in my mind that a modded t2 could beat one. I love vettes, they are very nice, only thing is....around here...everyone has one, thats one reason why I wouldnt buy one(however they are damn good cars).
