My FD vs. Twin Turbo 350Z

Wow, this was fun. We couldnt run to far though. We were in traffic and got some space but not too much. I forgot i was in 4th and we started, he got ahead of me a lil bit then I caught up a lil. We ran again and I started in 3rd and shot off and for some reason he laid off. But i was bringin my lady friend out to eat so unfortunately we couldnt race on the major highway. It was very equal and dont know if its so much a kill but it was very fun. BTW-I run non-seq with a boost leak and havn't tuned my PFC yet (doin it this weekend)

how much boost? I know theres one with the greddy kit close by...
did you try brakeboosting. If its close you will definately beat him if you brakeboost - at least a car maybe 2!!!!!
thats supposed to be good for around 400rwhp or so. Good kill! .

Why do you think the 350Z was a twin turbo?

I guarantee he was not WOT. If it was a TT. I toyed w/ a 350 putting down 404 and came away by 3 to 4 cars in three third and all of 4th gear runs. Probably would have done a bit better but I dont brake boost.

I'd guess cause he didnt put buslengths on the Z...

It could have been blown, they do put bov on them sometimes...

At least I hope so, if you get beat by a n/a Z there is something seriously wrong with your car!

I seriously doubt that the 350z had forced induction. Otherwise it would have been a bad, really bad death.

Look at his mods:
Non-Seq, Blitz Nur Spec, Downpipe, Power FC w/commander, Pettit TKT Intake.

Remember that he stated that he has a boost leak and that the power FC is untuned. I'd be surprised if he is putting more that 230 RWHP, assuming his boost is set at stock levels (which he better since the ECU is untuned).

I had some "spirited" driving against a new 350Z and aftermarket turbo kit driving to work the other day. Typical ricer with stickers on the window (SuperStreet), spikey hair, and then all crouched over the steering wheel wanting to race. I heard his blow off valve as we approached a stoplight lined up next to each other.

I rolled down my window wanting to ask if it was turbo'd... and he didn't acknowledge other than wanting to race. Light turns green, I spin in 1st and 2nd as does he and when we both hit 3rd I walk away from him like he was driving a Yugo.

At the next light he said it was a single turbo kit..... he wasn't happy at all.

A single turbo V6? That has to be one crazy looking turbo manifold...

Then you have never seen a Buick Grand National 3.8i turbo V6 that can make 700hp+ with stock turbo manifolds, a large single turbo, and ported heads that flow a measly 210cfm.

No I haven't. I'm pretty curious to see how the manifolds look. Where and how does the turbo sit?

silver one? with some volk wheels? I know the kid. He has a 60-1 IIRC. Extra piping is rediculous. Havent had a chance to run with him yet.

there was a huge high horse power meet in houston last sunday, one of the cars was a 500hp turboed 350, i was in my friends srt (325ibs tq) and we fell a little behing the group so we were playing catch up and the z just flew past us like we were standing still while we were at 120... he had to be atleast going 160+ very impresive, however it did over heat about 10 mins later
