lost pretty badly

coming home from classes a sheet of ice slid off teh roof of the car in front of me, smacked my s13 pretty hard. they didn't stop to see if everything was ok, and i wasnt sure if there was any damage, but i jotted the plate number down anyways. called teh cops after i got off rt. 222. the ice fucked up my front bumper, pass headlight and fender, driver side turnsignal and put some nice scratches in my vis cf hood. cop checked it out and tracked her down based on my description and plate #. she's gonna have to pay and might even get hit and run citation since she just kept on drivin. she was a ****** clueless bitch who acted like she didnt even know what was goin on. good thing they made it illegal to drive w/ ice sheets on ur car, you can get a $1000 fine for it. i know i'll be compensated but it really pisses me off since the paint is 1 month old and the parts damaged are aftermarket. oh well, i guess now i'll get the type x bumper and repaint and fix the other ****.

no way not even close to hott. and no. i was not following too closely, no rear tire tread + rear wheel w/ turbo+ still some ice and snow on the road = keeping 4 second distance at least and speeds at under a few miles under the speed limit. the ice caught some air and got lift. shot up in the air really high that i actually lost sight of it. some were saying its a possibility that she didnt know, which is true but it was at least 2 or more inches of solid ice. if a slab big enough to cover the whole roof came off you should hear it unless ur really not paying attention to anything. i hear when even little slabs slid off, but i like to pay attention when i drive...thats just me though

I hope she doesn't have Erie insurance for her sake. If she does, she won't for much longer.

She knew she left ice on her car that could fly off and cause a hazard. Do you guys over on the east side have those highway advisory signs that flash and tell you to tune into an AM station? Every morning on my way to school I see them and I'm like "oh snap, wreck!" No its the damn message about cleaning ice and snow off your vehicle. Maybe people don't know how to use the AM radio. LOL Nice kill Rx-7 1 Ice 0.

update: car has been declared a total loss, and they will give me $2900 for the title. or i can keep it, get an r-title and they give me the value of the car minus the salvage value, which brings my total to getting $2750.88 to fix my car and they cover fees for a rental car.

she did that much damage to your car? that ******* sucks man. I know you JUST finished your SR20 swap, so I assume you'll take the 2750.88 and postpone the TII swap on the FC?

yeah unfortunately. i'll take the money and get an r title. the only reason the damage was estimated to be so much was cuz all areas hit were aftermarket besides corner light and fender. bodykit front bumper, hid headlight, vis vader cf hood, and brand new custom paint. w/ all that they figure it to be more than $3000. luckily i can source out a type x kit and the paint and body work will only cost me supplies, so i should have some left over but i need tires and brakes to pass inspection. and while i get the car repainted i'm going w/ a cf hatch cuz my old one is pretty fucked
