No real surprise there, based on your dyno numbers.

^Probably. I could only hope that a person that acctually drives a Vette like its meant to be driven has enough respect for a faster car to tell people about it. I tell people I got beat by a worked Hyundai Tiburon for god's sake... I am obviously underpowered and do not belong in this thread with my N/A.

Yeah, because it's believable. I find that most American car buffs seem to like the RX-7 and consider it their favorite import.

To bad the corvette guy's have to troll into every kill thread involving a C5 or American car and give excuses as to why they lost. I bet there little teenies. Rx7's own biotch dont you know?

Ya he beat a stock $50k+ late model stock car with a 12 yr old car that has mods just to keep up with the technology advancments. I think that is awsome! Everyone is like well his car is modded. I am like well his car costs a lot less and is a lot older. So ya its a good kill. Suck it up Vette Lover

Sweet, still a 40k newer car with a much bigger engine even if you wanna call the rotary a 2.6L like most V8 guys wanna do. For $40k in a RX you will be running low 10s high 9s. Probably for even a lot less than that. There is a reason GM is now rated as junk by the S&P. They sell crap, they treat their customers crappy, and there service is crap. All this LS1 hype is exactly that. I see LS1s running at the track but they are not putting out any time the imports are throwing out there with smaller motors. Ya the imports are turbo but the LS1 is usually 2-3 times the displacment of the import.

thats crazy bagging on gm
i have a friend with a C5 and a friend with a mach 1 and a friend with a mustang gt and even if you throw a camaro in there to me IMO ford is crap and gm owns them lol
and also for the past 8 years corvette has been labeled pound for pound best bang for the buck in american vehicles

I like vettes, BUT acting like the vette is the GOD of all cars like a lot of their owners do is getting old. Granted all types of car owners think their car is the baddest... Im mainly thinking of a guy I knew who swore the vette was the greatest. (Had the "shrine" to prove it.) Used to give me all this crap about how the FD was a copy of the C5, but it will never be a vette... Imagine my surprise, finding out that the 7 yr old chassis (1989-1990) was designed/copied after the C5(1996)! My bad!

But you have to admit... An RX7 that is 12+ yrs old it still hangs with a lot of the newer, more advanced ones... Stock vs a lot of the "fast" cars today and it still does pretty damn good. Throw a few parts on... different story altogether.

I severely hope that by the time I start to come back over to the states a new 7 will be coming out. Ive got till Nov 2007...

Just imagine what would have happened from the hole or second/ third gear roll... If you know anything about a newer vette (or any well tuned v8) above 100 there at an advantage.. I started at the end of third (5k about 90 mph). Hmm I got about 25 k into my car. he's got (if he bought it on the wait list) over 60k.. Hmmm.... Now lets run through some corners. hmmmm...

Who really cares about money? You can build a Mustang notch that will run in the 10s for about half of what you have in your car. Would it be impressive for a $10K old pos mustang to whoop on your newer technolgy, higher priced vehicle. No.

Maybe I don't know enough about V8s, I would have thought that aerodynamics and hp to weight ratio plays more of a factor than how many cylinders you have. I'll tell my Supra buddies they need to do V10 swaps.

FDs look badass, but don't get too ahead of yourself.
