I did beat a cop.
Smoked him. I mean I have ditched em a million times before..where'd ya think I learnedto drift??..But this was a lil diffrent, I was in my buddies Boosted b16 Del Tegra and I was coming up pretty hard on a car that I knew could be a cop. I let off just in time to see thast it was an officer that was obviously on his way home because he was bout 20 miles outside Sea-Tac where it was from. It was a Malibu and I knew it wouldnt be much of a challenge but I gave him a few BOV's right nerxt to huim and he was smoking with the window down so he defintaly knew I was boosted (if he wasnt an idiot that is). It only took him about three or four Blow-Off's to get him to punch it. At second in the LS tranny I was doing 60 and the Tach sprung to 7500 or so and full boost came instantly of course and I took it to our set rev which was 9-2. I then Dropped third and the Torque steer came back on and I seriously scared the guy cause by this time I was right next to him. He was still stomping on it still as I took third into the hundreds all the way to 9-2 again and then fourth was where I lost sight of him.
Of course I quickly got on 512 and took the back route home. Just in case he was a sore loser:-) Just thought I'd share.
I can't wait to pull up next to cop in my at a redlight in my Half-Bridged Single T, fully boosted FD and rev so he knows I aint playin and then when she turns green.....Later Jonny Law!!!!

LoL, that is crazy to even tempt a cop. I'd be scared he would be a sore loser and pull me afterwards. I also love how you nearly torque steered into him (stupid FWD).
But a del tegra? I'm guessing a Del Sol with an Integra GS-R engine swap?

But I have found many cops off duty are normally much more forgiving and are usually hauling *** home themselves.

If the guy was an ******* yes he could cite you or radio ahead. Most experienced officers however dont want the paperwork especially off duty. If youre being reckless he would be very inclined to radio ahead and have a marked do the stop and meet the officer to sign as a witness. Then again some officers like myself do have a life and like to play leaving the badge at home or in the locker.
Do choose your battles carefully with off duty officers.
