Hypo: 84 13b n/a vs. 87 13 n/a

I was just browsing trying to find threads about 1st gens with 13b na swaps to get an idea of what i will be getting from my upcoming swap. I found a lot of 1st gens but I found a lot MORE 2nd gen threads about racing and stuff.

If I have the same mods as a second gen then just because my car weighs less i should be quicker right? It sounds simple but just wondering.

For the first few months i will just have a new street strip clutch and p-plate, street port, exhaust, intake and e-fan.... so consider an 87 with same mods.

Im just day dreaming until my swap and i read someone with a N/A FC saying they beat this car or that car and i just want to know if i can do better simply because the weight of my car.

Considering a GSL-SE (first gen with a 13B from the factory) can beat nearly every NA second gen, I am going to say that if you do a 13B swap into a first gen you won't be using the stock exhaust, nor stock intake and other restricting things of that nature - so the SA/FB should win over the FC.

That being said, you get a good driver in the FC and a below average driver in the FB, the FC will win. Then again, that is the point of drag racing right? Proving which of the drivers are better.
