Yeah, turbo busa's are no joke. A local guy had one for a while that dyno'd at 486whp, 262wtq. That is just stuuuupid power on a bike.

From what it seems he has the numbers set up as kilometers per hour, but displaying as mph.

The bike is quick, but he's got the speedometer geared to show exaggerated numbers if displaying as mph. Check out the mini vans and basic passenger cars in the city driving footage which would be going 60 to 100 mph around corners and through traffic. LOL

I don't think so, the cars making the turn were going 20-25mph at most, and he passed them pretty damn quick on the freeway. If the speedo was geared to be displaying kph, that thing would be a LOT slower than a stock busa. Seriously, take a 140mph bike, then double the HP, what you get is something that you can't even take to redline for fear of flipping backwards.

Also, anyone seen the Turbo R1 video? Freaking stupid.

I saw the Turbo R1 video racing the turbo 1300 Suzuki as well as the nitrous oxide bike too. Pretty cool stuff.

Don't get me wrong, the video is fun and the bike is quick, but in the video in this thread look at 3 minutes 39 seconds when the white Ford Probe matches the speed of the Turbo Hayabusa. I doubt that Ford Probe is coming into the right corner at the stop light in city trafic at 73 mph as the Hayabusa speedomenter indicates. LOL

That speedometer is def MPH. If that was KPH, that is the slowest turbo busa ever and wouldnt be able to top 110mph?? Thats bs. Thats mph.

busa speedometer (i think the older model)

OK, if you must take it literally, however I still doubt the Ford Probe was heading into the corner at 73 mph in city driving. LOL Look at 3 min 39 seconds.

I see what you're saying. Had anyone else noticed that his acceleration is disproportional to his boost? At one point he goes from 130-160 pretty quick without even spooling the turbo! Then when his boost gauge shows that he's building boost his acceleration doesn't seem to be any different from when he's out of boost. Yes, there's an obvious difference from when he's off the throttle and on it, but it just seems a little strange to me when you watch his boost and acceleration.

there was a turbo busa at the local track last season. he stalled out and almost died at the 1/8th marker and still ran a low 9.

theres definately something wrong with the guys speedo. if not, every damn person in that video was cruising at around 100mph. at (i think) 2 min and 55 second he goes an SUV that would have been cruising at 100 and 5 seconds later some older sedan cruising at 120mph....i dont think so.

ive seen the video before. its a fast bike, but not as fast as the speedo says.

Yeah it gets pretty crazy when you have 2hp for every pound your bike weighs!

LOL @ you guys for trying to deny the acceleration of a STOCK busa, and this is a TURBO busa.

And its funny how people think thats KPH. For one, you can see the speedometer and its reading MPH and second, even by a slight chance my eyes are playing tricks on me and its really KPH, the acceleration is the same as my car and i have a bolt on fd. lol

ok if you stare really hard, you see that the big numbers on the outside is km/h will the small numbers on the inside are mph. this makes sense if you look at the second big number 20. convert that from 20 km/h to mph and you get 12.42 mph. now look again at the speedo whats the number next to it on the inside its a 10.

No i cant read the actual numbers, just a vague glimpse of it.

But i am not beleiving that its KPH, i WILL believe that the speedo is off due to the probe and the city cars thing but def not KPH in general.

Because if thats true, he's in top gear and since the end of that speedo is 180, that turbo busa is in top gear, boosting 18lbs barely getting to 110mph IF that 180 reads in KPH. A stock busa can hit 100MPH in 5 seconds, the acceleration of a stock busa would be faster reaching that 180KPH speedometer if that was KPH.

SO im not denying that the speedo is off but DEF that the speedo is in KPH.

Unless the video is rigged, that busa can hit top speed just as fast as the video shows.
