How dare he laugh!

Hello all,
So I'm mergering onto the highway and see an Impala "SS" coming up behind me. The guy heres my loud exhaust I guess (you really help but to hear it) and accelerates by nodding his head giving me the thumbs down while talking on his cell. I let him go on about his buissness but somthing about this erked the SH-- out of me! I commense to catch up and get next to this guy and blip the throttle a bit as if to say I'm ready! We merge onto I-20 with me behind and all of a sudden no 3 beeps he just takes off. Luckily I'm in 3rd aroud 4k-45k and instantly go to pull around him. Oops, I missed the shift to 4th and quickly gather the gear (4th) and pulled, hit 5th, and I was ghost on the guy and shut her down at 120mph. I get a chance to catch up to the guy as he gets off the highway and pull up next to him. To my suprise the guy is cool, smiles, and told me that I got him! I asked what was under the hood and he told me a LT1! We went our seperate ways and that was it. It was a 96 model Impala SS. Sorry I don't know how to download the picture.

Naa, didn't give it back to him seeing as how he humbled himself in the presense of the 7! No but really, the admission of defeat was good enough for me.

ummm I just beat my friends fc with exhaust in my supercharged 92 park ave. Im not to familuar with impalas but I thought SS was for the supercharged models, in which case Im pretty sure it wouldnt be a LT1. I couldbe wrong but when I swapped a 350 into my fc I didnt run into any ss lt1 engines.

The late 90s Impala SS had 275 hp LT-1s and were hi 14/low 15 sec tanks.

Nice kill. I had a modded 95 SS toying with me the other day, when I was in my N/A FC. He would get right up on my ***, like a foot or two away at 65mph in a 55 zone, and when I would drop 2nd to get away, he'd stomp it and stay on me. I finally signaled the bastard to go around me. It acctually happened to be some guy in his early to mid 30's that I raced when he was in his white trash special Vette.
