GSR... Not too impressed.

*Note* Everything I write here is non-non-fiction.

Well it has been a few months since me and my co-worker went at it. He had his gutted CRX with 1.6 acura swap (non vtec, more hp then stock 1.6 crx motor though) headers, exhaust, coldair intake. I guess he was internally hurt by his loss (2-3 cars back after like 1/6 a mile.) So he sold his civic and just finally sold his crx and went out and splurged all his hard earned money on a GSR acura integra.

His mods are minimumal, but I am still not too impressed by the over hype of VTEC engines. He just has a cold air intake and the car is almost completly gutted, except for the back seat. Might I add (not performance orientated) but the guy he bought it from did a HORRIBLE custom dash job. He mounted 2 LCD screen were the gauge cluster would be, and were the glove would be, and also a PS2, BUT IT JUST LOOKED SO GROSS. Also the guy did a REALLY BAD paint job (thin layer of some really crappy flat black.) Also came included was a wal-mart wing on the back of the car (I honestly think if it wern't for the wing, he would of lost even worse.) Also he chopped up the hood and put in a scoop which looks similar to a TII intercooler scoop.

Well anyway. We went two runs from a stop (secluded area, no traffic or people of any kind, but also remember this race never happened *wink wink*.) Held my RPMS at 4k, counted to three and we were off. He immediate was a couple feet behind my rear. Not much change at all until the finish, but by the time I shut down at 70 mph he was maybe a car behind me.

Alright because for some reason I had in my mind you had an FD. Don't ask why I thought that maybe it's because I have one and it's always on my mind. Yeah i'm not impressed with hondas or acuras in exception for the NSX. My friend just bought a crx with a b17 swap, exhaust, headers, intake, gutted. I kicked his *** pretty easily. Nice kill. Maybe he will realize after this being his 3rd or whatever ricer that he is wasting his money and needs to invest in a 7.

I raced him from a 10mph roll so I had a bit of lag but even so first gear rap ups pretty quick. But I still beat him down. A 7 never loses come on you should know that. Haha just kidding.

It doesn't matter if you win by a inch or a mile, winning is winning. Bitch.

I love my Vinny.

Why, did the added rear downforce on the fwd car help it get traction?

it was a joke. The wing was totally ridiculious. It was good to see at work today that he had it taken off, and he sanded the car and got rid of that nasty *** POS 20 dollar flatblack paintjob that was on it.

What is done to your car? GSRs are 15.2 - 15.5 depending on the year, S4s are around a 16.5.

1.6 Acura swap in the CRX, as in the D16A1 or 3? Those engines suck, i don't see why he'd waste his time, it's not more powerful than the stock motor, infact, it's almost an identical motor. The A3 has 5 more hp, the CRX's A6 and the Integra's A1 are both 113.

Makes me sad when I see humungous wings on cars. What is worst is the non functional stock spoilers on most cars. Those spoilers do less than the gian ones I think.

With turbos.

A friend of mine has a slightly modified H22 in his 4dr, it's not that impressive.

Has the basics I/H/E with a VAFC. This is him racing a Z28 http://www.treybolinger.com/races/z28andcivic_low.wmv
