Seriously, what the hell is an eg6? I assume it is a Honda because of the "lsvtec" written up there, but come on guy. Who the hell knows freakin' Honda chassis codes, and who gives a ****?
Guess what, I raced a MCV20L last night. That's right, a 93 Toyota Camry, bitches.

EG is the chassis code for the early nineties (92-95?) honda civic hatchback. It is a really fun car to drive when equipped with a decent motor (150+ whp) and good tires. They're surprisingly roomy, are good on gas, lightweight, and have a lot of options for swapping parts... and they're also very suseptible to being stolen I actually still want one to put a K20a (RSX-s) motor in it. Sure its FWD and sure it's a honda... but it's still a fun car. Doesn't make it right for the lsvtech retard to call out an FD!! That guy is an idiot.

I'm right there with ya and get what you are saying. I guess I was just in the dark because I was never into Civic's or Honda's in any way at all, especially to the point that I would identify Civic's by chassis codes.

You guys are not technically right by your chassis codes.
What happens is most people refer to the 88-91 as the "EF" body, the 92-95 as the "EG" body, and 96-00 as the "EK" body just so everyone is on the same page with things. Even though people use the vague EF, EG, and EK codes to refer to a period of years, it's not right. Take for example the 99-00 Si. It's called the EM1, which in no way has a K in it.
Now, once you actually start talking about specific models, such as the 92-95 hatch, you also need to know whether it's a JDM or USDM spec. Only the JDM spec 92-95 hatch is referred to as an EG6. If you're talking about the JDM spec 96-00 hatch, that would be an EK9. The US spec models have all different chassis codes than the JDM spec counterparts. A lot of people just use the JDM chassis codes to refer to the US cars because they don't know the difference and although it's wrong, people will still know which car you are referring to.
