FD vs. VR4
I was taking my girlfriend to work and i happened to pass a 3000GT VR4. I didnt bother him at all until we came to a stop light. He is like two cars behind me and starts reving up on me...im like what a "dumbass", the light turns green and i slowly drive forward, he on the other hand, goes WOT and quickly catches up and pulls up beside me....so i looked at him...he nodded, i nodded back....well anyways to the point...
First run @ 35mph (no break boost)....i have her in second...the VR4 guy takes off and gets a half car length on me...as i finished second im dead even with him...as i run through third....he was two cars behind me....i let off....
Second run @ 45mph (no break boost)....we both take off at the same time and like nothing....i easily walked away from him? im like wtf? but oh well....i shut off at around 75 and slow down for him to come beside me again but he refused..so i exit off....

Good kill. Being as I own both an FD and a VR4, I must say the "roll races" edge in favor towards the 7. From a dead stop? Forget about it, the 7 doesnt even come close....The best of both worlds - hehe.

heavy turd eh? Its funny cause thats what everyone always says about our cars. its so heavy, blah blah blah. Like some other guys ahve said, just respect it.
Thats the reason im here,is out of respect. cause i saw one and wanted to see if i could find the owner .
and they are very beastly when modded. im almost @ the point to where i can keep up w/ my neighbors baby lambo.
p.s. happy boosting

I've raced both the newest body-style Stealth and 3KGT in my lightly modd'd TII and pulled about 2 car-lengths through third gear on both.
Both were on the street, and the 3KGT kill was from a stop . Granted he didn't dump the clutch, I still started pulling as soon as we both shifted into 2nd...
The Stealth was out of low second... I was suprised because the newer body-style TT's are supposed to have close to 300hp to the fly.
Not impressed with either car. The electronic AWS (or whatever) can't hide the fact that those cars are heavyweights. They can be 1/4 mile monsters, or freeway monsters. But overall, it's not a car I'd want. I'd rather have a DSM Talon TSI, simply because they're lighter and much cheaper to buy.
Not hating, just giving my opinion and experience with those cars.

theres a guy here on the forums that has a blue last generation VR4 that he had 500hp. and smoked a 355spider (had it on video). IMO those are fast right out of the box. but just like all 4wd's there mostly good from a launch. To make the VR4 worse its like pushing a bentley which makes it for 0-80. After that the FD will pull away easily

huh... Sucks for them.
My TII probably had around 240 to the flywheel when I killed them

Granted, both shifted somewhat n00bish, but what do you expect? Not everyone works on their technique...
Stealth R/T and VR4 typically mean Twin Turbo... Correct? Not to mention the sound of a turbo spooling/boosting RIGHT NEXT TO YOU is unmistakable...
How do I flatter myself when I merely state the truth...? I don't know why YOU would care that a 3800lb. twin-turbo boat got walked by a lightly modd'd, 2800lb Turbo Rx7.

agreed.... 3000GTs are alright... but quite honestly I'd take a different car from the mitsubishi stable, like the GSX eclipse or if I could get my hands on one a VR4 galant. One thing I wouldn't mind doing for sure is swapping out a GST engine into a mirage HB. haha.

I raced a modd'd one on the freeway several months ago and I was suprised that he managed to stay only a few cars back. He had gauges, suspension and exhaust that I could see, so I'm guessing it had some other things done to it too.

^ i dont believe it either cause stock it'd still be putting more hp to the ground than you were making @ the fly.
either way if thats your car in your av i like it, looks clean
