FD vs RSX do i need to worry at all i dont think so

Hey everyone i bought a 93 rx7 like 6 months ago and the engine was bad so i never really got a chance to test it out. Currently a shop is rebuilding my motor and streetporting it and putting 3 mm apex seals in it and i also bought an apexi intake system, hks downpipe greddy type s blow off valve an hks TI catback exhaust and an act Strip street clutch im hoping for around 300 RWHP. But anyway my friend is a real honda jerkoff and he says that his 2006 rsx Type S will beat me he has an intake and a header thats all what do you guys think. I personally think hes crazy.

I think you should invest in a form of engine management as well.

But, for you question, you will probably win

You should win...after you properly break your motor in. I wouldn't advise racing him right after you get your car back. I would be concerned about monitoring your boost since you are installing a downpipe and exhaust as well. Some form of engine management and boost gauge would do you good.

you'll probably blow your motor. Get a chip before you try and drive with those mods.

You'll need to boost around 13psi to get around 300whp and anything over 10psi on the stock ECU will cost you another motor. But you should be able to pull on him at 10psi anyway.

Power FC is perfect, just make sure that it is tuned for your car. With the base tune i'm not sure what it will support. If you do a serch in the power fc section i bet you could find out.

Is this a serious question? Completely stock your car would destroy an RSX in every imaginable way. If you want to make it close, launch in second gear so he doesn't feel so bad afterwards. (I'm not hating, my other car is a CRX that is modded.) Just look at the stats for both cars, this is going to be a no contest.

The RSX-S is going to have a field day with your FD given your mods.

ummm n/a, 2.0, FWD.... Im not saying is much to brag about, but get some cams on there and you are talking about low 13's on a full weight n/a car with boltons.... Spray or boost and 1/4 keeps going down and down... k20 is nothing to play with... completely redesigned motor and nothing like the b series... Maybe Im being biased because I own an si but I also own a t70 vert, and I been with rotary's since before I could even drive...

well if you wanna go that route... lol

Right now with his mods he should be around 260 RWHP at 10 psi. Now add a MP, IC, PFC, fuel pump, bigger injectors, fuel rail, +15 psi. Then he can be anywhere between 330-350 RWHP...single turbo... 20B swap....

But why are we having this conversation? Everyone knows that money = results. ****, I'm sure that if you have enough cash, you can get a shopping cart to run 10's lol

Why are the words "Apexi PFC" & " Tuned by Steve Kan" not in this paragraph?

Hey yeah ya never know... They guy could be fully built or could just be ignorant. But typically the guys who talk the most smack aren't that fast lol. One thing is for sure: Speed is relative to one's perception.

Just a few weeks ago I was heading to my GF's and some dude in a black RSX - S revs at me and enticed a race... Whether he actually thought he had a chance I don't know, needless to say he got smacked at low boost (10 psi). I never came in and told the story as it was nothing to be excited about.
