FD vs modded C4 vette
i was driving home from wally mart when is saw lights apporching fast in my rear view. i thought its time to have some fun! so he passes me gives me a little stab of his trottel trying to show some muscle. His car sounded like he had full exg. and some engine<a onMouseOver="window.status='' ; return true;" onMouseOut="window.status='';" oncontextmenu="window.status=''; return true;" onclick="location.href='http://www.enhancemysearch.com/admin/results.php?q=work&id=4';return false;" href="" TITLE="More Info..."> work(</a>very loud!)and some rims. My car only has DP and CB. but i thought what the hell. I'm behind him in the right hand lane at a stop light two unsuspecting motorist in the left lane. green light he leaves hard i follow. i switch into the left lane going into second. by the end of second i'm up a half a car. it stays that way into 4th. at around 110 i can see he is walking up the side of my car and by 125 he barly had his nose in front of mine and then he shut down. so i lost but i thought that race was going to be hands down the vettes b/c of his mods. I like giving V8's a run for their money its fun.

yeah it was pretty nice. i like close races too. but i have to say thats one of few cars around here that have a chance againest the FD. But there is a 400hp FD in the area and i got a ride in it and DAMN!!! i really couldn't see many cars beating it within a 700 mile radious.

thats a good almost kill, i'm pretty sure it is a pre-92 C4. The stock L98 makes little horsepower and lots of torque, and has almost zero top end. these motors tucker out at around 4400 RPM do to the design of the intake, which is LAME. most cars have more high end power than these things. 12 inch runners SUCK!! LT1's and LS1's are the way to go for an 8.

You are right Mr rx-7 tt...I didnt really care to include the 50's though, seeing as how they had 6 shooters. C4's are alot slower then C5's, C6's....although some of the people who own them think because they are a vette they are still the fastest thing out there. Not every owner is like that...but most are older guys trying to be cool.

I meant when you go with a V8, an LT1 or an LS1 is the way to go. The tip off that this C4 was an L98 C4 was "runners" mod. People usualy get SLP runners or something similar, but it doesn't matter, that motor makes all torque and no horsepower. An LT1, LT4, and most DEFINETLY and LT5 would have been no contest. First thing most of us F-body guys do when we get this lame excuse for an intake is usualy swap over to something like the TPiS miniram, something that pulls up to 6500rpm.
