fd vs. brand new turbo civic hatch si

well, i was going home after a club tonight, and i stop at a stop sign. in front of me i see a brand new civic hatch si with exhaust. i was gana mess with him because i was bored and an srt4 later on would not give me a race... i blow off next to him in an impresive 2nd gear display of traction loss. then he give a blow off next to me.. was like,. ohh a race!! yeay!! i didnt think it was a turbo, but evidently he is, so i wait for him to take off, he does just as i brake boost, and immediatly i pull hard. the first race i pulled well over 10 lengths. then he is about next to me and i slow to put it back in 3rd as he is displaying need for another race. i see the driver messing with his center console , and then give a thumbs up.... this time he gives 3 honks, i didnt have time to brake boost so i take off on the third, i pull but much less this time. i only pulled about 5 on him this time and we went well past 110. obviously there was some boost upping when he has his attention on the center console. i kept my boost at 11psi. after that he wouldnt go past me as he understood the faster car was me. i gave a thumbs up for staying with me decently and tuned into my appt. complex. mods below:
non seq stock twins
1600 2nds
pfc
fmic
supra pump
fpr
clutch lwfw
etc. etc. much more

forgot to add. im having major boost problems, my flapper in my exhaust manifold for the sequential setup has either broken loose from its welds or broke completely so i see full boost only at 5000 rpms. and my stock coils dont seem to be doing the trick as i get mad spark blow out at even 11 lbs.

You can't really guess what a car will have without knowing its mods, but simple bolt on turbo kits take the K series somewhere from 200-250whp. More mods means more power, but nobody really goes too far past 300whp with a daily driven Honda(at least in my experience).

well, i know this. i was just wondering what these cars make with a turbo. again, i have no clue what turbo was on there. it could have been large, it atcually seemed taimed sounding. i should have not turned and found out what it had.

well seeing as the NEW Si's are just hitting showrooms.....i know i PDIed one saterday....i doubt it was a 195hp 2.0 Si. if it was a hatch car, it was the last gen Si. in which case BlkS5TII is right on with the hp numbers if it was boosted. i dont think the aftermarket has anything out for the new civic yet....but i do know the 06 Si is wicked...good kill though.

yes, i know this, i know its not the newest one. i still consider the last model new. and i know the only honda to have a turbo is a jet ski. dont mistake, i know the arent turbo from the factory.

on another note, i talked to a person who says knows this car i raced and he said it has a 60-1 and the motor evidently has been opened up (he wasnt sure what was done to it). he knows nothing else about it. so i have no idea what its making power wise... but its probably more than the 250whp quote.

You say that like they're common, and like the person chooses to drive it like that. When you have that much power on an FF it is by no means anywhere near driveable. My guess is that they put so much into the car that they can't afford to have even a beater.

well, i highly doubt the honda i raced was making much over 300 wheel. im honest, my car has some grimlens right now, its probably only making 290 to 300 at the wheels. my car healthy on 15lbs of boost is capable of 370 whp. anyways, im having a hard time believeing the guy who told me that dude had a 60-1 trim turbo on it. thats really large for that car... and it didnt perform like it was equiped with that kind of hardware. if it does have a 60-1 on it it was pathetic as hell.

a lot of honda turbo kits seem to come with huge *** turbos for some reason.. at least the ones ive seen around here. i think people just buy them with the biggest turbo they can find because it says makes up to 55hp or whatever, then they are stuck with a laggy mismatched turbo because they never take the car any further than the bolt on kit.

if i was going to dd a turbo honda and just wanted it quick for the street id probably get a super 60 t3 or something like that.
