Had a pretty funny race last night. But first up for those that don't know what a VK commodore is, its basically a big heavy steel piece of crap with a 5L v8 (I think they are from around 85) in it. Anyway I got bored and went out for a spin, had been driving for a bit when the vk came up next to me, it had at an exhaust and had a monster tacho in it, like all the ******* do. Anyway he gets in front of me and we are driving down to the local car spot, he pulls in to do the u turn and stops and attempts to do a burnout in front of me. Was the most pathetic 1 wheel thing I have ever seen. Anyway I leave and keep driving for a bit. I get out on one of the main roads and the thing comes up next to me again, the light in front ahead is red and we are both slowing down, then the light goes green, he is about a car length ahead and he plants it, so I throw it back in to second and give it to it. By the time I get to third i have pulled even with him, but the funny thing is I didn't see this bump in the road, and well the suspension in my car is firm to say the least. As I'm next to the car the bump throws me airbourne, my head hits the roof and I can hear the painfull noise of my exhaust hitting the ground when it landed, thankfully It's still in one piece. So I get in front of him and shut down, he does the looser flyby as they always do. Keep driving and we both get a red light, and he puts his window down, i told him his tacho must be weighing him down. And he starts reving his engine at me again why he wanted to try from a dig when he couldn't beat me from a roll is beyond me but I left him straight off the line and I didnt see him again as i turned off. Was pretty fun cured my boredom =D

 

Those are the same as 85 Camaros with the 305 V-8.. not much of a car to speak of..

Yeah but the car definetly wasn't stock. It went better than most VY ss commodores (they are an ls1 for all you americans) but still not as good as a decent rotary =D
