1.3-liter humiliation
Not the greatest of kills but still pretty funny.
A few nights ago I was out for a bit of a cruse taking it pretty easy not really looking to race. I was stopped at the lights when a bone stock vz commodore pulls up next to me and starts talking trash, I think they sell commodores as the monaro in the US? This version is a V6 so probably not the ones you know anyway.
The one line that caught my attention was “Only Milk Comes In 2 Litres” I think he was trying to show off to his girl but that doesn’t excuse it.
His obvious ignorance of what type of car I had pissed me off so I gave a few taps on the throttle, he gave a nod and then revved up his engine ready to race. The light changed and he sat there spinning the tyres trying to get grip as I watched him disappear in the review mirror. It wasn’t even close, I even had time to back off when I knew I had it won.
To my amusement we ended up at the lights again a few blocks later. He was all quiet and avoiding eye contact. When he finally glanced over all I said was “1.3”, he said “what?” And I said “my engine it’s only a 1.3”
. I could tell he was pissed because his girl was laughing at him. The light then changed and I casually drove off , my only regret was that I didn’t have my in car cam recording.

actually, you're thinking of the Nissan Murano. the car he's talking about is basically a v6 version of the Pontiac GTO.

The pontiac GTO is an aussie car originally, the holden monaro. It was rebadged and had some minor tweaks to get from the aus to the us markets. has the 5.7, the 6.0 V8s, and the 3.8(?) V6. He raced the V6, I had a run with the 6.0L, 300kw jobbie a little while ago, and had no trouble hosing him, but he was a cool guy.

They are known as Commodores over here (Australia) but I thought if I only put that you guys would have know idea what I was talking about.
Commodores make up about a 1/4 of all cars on Australian roads, no crap
They even use them as cop cars

Holden Commodore is AU/NZ
US has V8 version and called Pontiac GTO. Which is failing to sell well I think due to the naming and the lack of variety.
Europe calls them Monaro's.
The US only has one version while the rest of the world has mutliple styles.

i bet his face was priceless lmao. something like this also happend to me a long time ago, maybe one and a half or 2 years now lol. i was getting out of my house to get to my grandparents house because there's where i store my car. as i was on the highway just minding my own bussiness, this eg6 get besides me and starts laughing at my car, he was with 2 other passengers. i look at him and he had the most cocky face ive ever seen, so he looks and punch it and so do i, i put 4 lenghts at least in 3rd gear only lol he gets besides me again and he had the most priceless face ive ever seen, he even told me '' hey man, i wasn't ready let's go again'' so i gave him another try and finish with the same results. after that he stayed back the whole time, he didn't even try to past me or get close to me, i think i destroyed his honda's pride .

in class one guy with a 97 camaro v6 found out my engine is only a 1.3 L , he said "damn, even my mountain dew is a least 2 liters, i drink that **** like its nothin." i told him my 1.3 puts more power out at the wheels than his v6, once another car guy in the class confirmed it he shut up. we became friends afterwards and he knows better than to underestimate the rotary now.
