FC vs Late 80's T/A

ok i dont know exactly what year it was but i was out with my buddy cruising around and we saw this 80's T/A and we havent seen much action for the night besides smoking a civic hatchback. but anyways we pull up to a stop light and the passenger was looking at me and then turn to the driver in the T/A and was talking and then he launched and i was like o ****. so i hit the gas and took off by this time he was about 3 car links ahead of me but i caught up very quickly and i was thinking they cant be that underpowered. so we hit a nother light and this time i hear him getting ready to launch and i decided to go along with it, so i did. we punch it i get him out of the hole and i stay ahead the whole time and at this time im running abou 5k in fourth and then we are coming up to a light that is red and i start slowing down and the the light turns green and i was like oh **** i got to go cause he did have to slow down for the light cause he was back there watching my flames from my exhaust. but when the light turns green he goes my be and i down shift into 3rd and im bouncing off the fuel cut (8k) for me so then i shift back into forth and i start gaining on him fast and then he turns as the passenger is giving me the finger. well then im cruising down town and i was thinking wow i beat a T/A a very underpowered T/A with a 6'4" 320 pound person in my passenger seat (i think he helped on traction issues).

Here is my favorite part. I live in Indiana and me and my buddy were cruising around monument circle. and we were wondering why there werent any people around, and i saw a cop with his lights on and i thought "oh thats why there any people". and at that time my buddy says Holy **** thats the T/A. So i looked and the cop pulled over the T/A and as we drove by the passenger looked at me and i gave him a real big smile (the **** you type). oh and on the pic we were pulling onto the circle next to the building that is just to the right of the monument (you cant see it caue of the tree) and the T/A was pulled over on the other side of the monument.

Yeah, TBI models are badged "Crossfire Fuel Injection" (correct me if i'm wrong). I had a carb'd 305, it produced a ground pounding 155hp, a far cry from a performance car.

Lol and none of you have considered it could have had the almighty GM 2.8L V-6 (SARCASM)
Sure it could have been a 305, MAYBE a 350, but I think it was probably a 2.8....

Well, there's a huge difference in sound, so I'm sure he used the logical part of his brain to deduct the possibility of it being a V6. I don't doubt his story at all. I ran one of similar age, and stomped his *** thank you very much, in my N/A FC when I still had it.

I have a buddy back in Florida with a 2.8 Camaro that'll wax damn near anything on the road. It's been stroked to a 3.2L, forged bottom end, heavier duty top end, and the best part- gets fed by two Mutsubishi 16G turbos, .62 trim IIRC. Last time I saw it, it wasn't tuned and was still kicking a 12 second Mustang's ***, by like 4 cars at that.
