IS-F vs FD on 15psi
So I took the RX7 (Silver 3rd gen on 15psi and about 300hp) out for a cruise on sunday wit a buddy of mine (G35 sedan on 75 shot of nitrous). We cruised up and down I-75 and ran across an IS-F in that blue color and a GS on some nice rims. They were crusine at about 55 or 60. I pulled up behind the IS, as he and his buddy were talkin across the highway, dropped a couple of gears and reved her up. The IS sees me in the rear view and pulls ahead of the GS. I try and pull up next to him to see if he wants to run but i notice im in 3rd gear 3/4 throttle at about 80 and hes lookin at his gauges and back over at me a couple of times, so i gun it. We got up to about 130 and let off. I was in front by about half a car by the time we shut down for traffic. He got off at the exit we were coming up on and I couldnt tell if he was getting on it or not. That thing was pretty mellow out the exhaust. I know that they come wit 400 hp V8. I was pretty surprised i passed him.

Yea Im running the car non sequential with a front mount, PFC, full exhaust with a resonated midpipe, 850cc injectors x4, walboro pump, boost controller, intake and the reliability mods also. When i tuned it Steve Kane said theirs a problem with the injectors and he wasnt able to lean it out for max power, so its on a conservitive tune which put down 280 on a 90 degree day in the middle of the miami summer. He said with my setup i should be in the 350hp range. It currently is running really rich im getting about 180 miles to a tank so needless to say i havent been driving it that much, if at all.

He didnt say exactly what was wrong with them. He just said it was the injector setup that i am running that was affecting the tune. He recommended i switch to 720 primaries and 1600 secondaries. I have heard that they are a pain in the *** to tune.
