We are doing the math with a stock FD tranny, we don't care what none stock tranny does as ratios are different, so doing the math with a FD tranny @ 10k rpm top of second gear.
3.90 = 98 mph
4.10= 94 mph
4.30 jdm =89 mph
4.44 = 86 mph
4.77=80
Non stock ratio
3.55. 108
You will have to have a 3.20 rear in order to get 120 mph on second gear with stock tranny, but your will be like a cow barely accelerating.
3.90 = 98 mph
4.10= 94 mph
4.30 jdm =89 mph
4.44 = 86 mph
4.77=80
Non stock ratio
3.55. 108

Constant threat
Math doesn't lie. The sad fact is that this discussion has taken away from darkphantom's obvious success. His car is truly bad-***, I don't think ANYONE ever said anything different. That's a fact. But...no way was 120 ever hit in 2nd gear, according to the math. Another fact.
Sometimes one can post something unintentionally or maybe slightly exaggerate the performance. I see it all the time on the various boating forums I'm on. I'm not saying ANY of this HAS happened in the posts in this thread, but...just sayin'.
There was a kid with a (supposedly) 900 hp FD here in Wichita, years back. I saw the car, I heard the car, and it (supposedly) ran 9's. I had no reason to doubt that, but then again...one never knows. There are some really fast and quick FDs in the world, and we have many on the Forum. Pretty cool, really.

The OP posts this type of stuff every year or so. He has a nice car but inflates just about everything.
IIRC wasn't one of the threads locked...something about him and a corvette? He also ducked running another member forever...always with excuses.
Consistent BS. Can't handle the stupid anymore...time to add to my block/idiot list.
