I have this friend who loves to race his new Dodge Ram around (V8 HEMI) and after raping my Jeep Wrangler (poor thing is geared way to low for that stuff but let him have his fun) he figured he'd give the ol' 7 a whipping too.


We started out from a roll at about 30MPH, I kept the car in third gear so he wouldn't feel so bad. Turned out even after multiple runs third gear proved way too much for him.

He still isn't too sure about the car, but I've neglected to tell him I have 100+ HP more than he does not to mention the weight difference. Torque is another issue of course, but still. What on earth makes a person even think they can make a stock (w/K&N filter) Dodge Ram hang with a serious sports car?



At least the look on his face was entertaining. My brother was riding along with him and mentioned he said "Oh, that's pretty fast." ROFL.

Have you guys ever had some crazy people try and race you in trucks, vans, etc.?

 

How about my 97 s10 vs a 03 sentra ser vspec..... I killed him, but he was a noob. He reved to the moon and spun the **** out of the front tires. Then there was me in my fc vs a northstar caddy around a 97-98 we were on the freeway.....he was killed.

 

not a truck or anything, but there was one time when 2 guys in a suzuki swift with the only visible mod was a muffler lol that were trying to look for a race or i don't know what. i don't know if the guy was serious but when he spun his tires and launch i think a go-kart could've kick his ***.i just accelerate so he could hear the bov and then he back-off lol. it was a funny one.

 

I had a couple of "hard asses" in a older (98 ish) dodge try me. They stayed by me through first, but after that i just pulled away. But my favorite part was afterwards, at the next light, it goes green and we both pull of the line, not racing just driving; he proceeds to try and ram my car. Then speeds off on to the freeway.

I've never done so however I believe one couldn't hang. I might not have 500HP but I also don't weigh 5200lbs.

 

I had a guy in a new hyundai grandeur try to run me yesterday, and no it isn't a truck, but c'mon!

 

I have a 7000 lb duramax diesel that might change your mind about trucks.
