EG Type R Hatch vs Tii Swap FC

89 FC GXL Manual/turbo conversion Mods: RB 3in DP with full cat back Y pipe etc, K&N drop in, Koyo Rad, N374 Ecu with knight sport chip, Boosting in danger zone on stock turbo 14-15 psi (couldnt control it at the moment), new stock Exedy clutch, ran with diff tires on rear and non lsd rear end.

Brothers 92 EG hatch with JDM Type R Mods: Headers, cat back, 8.5mm spark plugs, b16 trans non lsd, Intake, aluminum rad and no power anything.

Got the swap done and was driving on the freeway going home. Hes with me of course and I know he wants some. Second he gets next to me we hit it. Only got him by a car while shifting at 6k. Not bad. He gets mad and say he can get me from a dig.

Weeks later we're going from a dig. Truthfully, I was scared that he was going to beat me from a dig. We launch and I get a car a head right away. As we're going I try to listen for his Vtec in first gear and expecting to see him right by me when it kicks in. No where to be seen but my rear view mirror. Only got him by about 2 cars. he was in disbelief and didnt want to talk. Lolz

but seriously 14-15 PSI on the stock turbo, after 12psi the turbo isnt really doing anything but hurting itself. stick in the 10-12psi range bro, or port your wastegate then turn the boost up

Well iono...one time we were going to get something to eat in his car and a newer mustang turns on the street that we were on and we know he wants some then..mustang guy had his GF and we let him hit it first...we were pulling on him pretty quick..it was sooooo funnie that i started laughing just trying to keep a straight face while we were beside him passing..

i think that they just lose to mostly turbo'd car...or over powered v8s..while the honda is just basic modded going all motor

hey your running the N/A rear end right? when your in second and and your just trying to creep, does your car wanna rock back and forth untill you give it some gas?
i think the NA drivetrain is causing this in mine and it makes for a really uncomfortable ride

Honda's are alright...There problem is fwd suck's on the street! Any RWD car with any amount of power will have a big advantage over a simular fwd car making the same power!
