I understand that its a 7 forum, and i have respect for you cars, what makes me made is these uneducated morans who have to come out and immediately say the 3000GT is Fat, slow and ugly. So maybe your choice of style differs from mine? you dont see me coming on here, and saying the 7 is a pos that blows a set coolant seals per every other start up. Respect and alittle bit of knowledge is key, dont go race a "sl" and come back here telling everyone that the 3000gt is worthless and slow. Do some research, yes the vr-4 might be heavy but the stock times dont differ to much.
it reads like a flyby to me. you should have done a second run with 3 honks.
I'm not the biggest fan of 3/S's but they are nice looking cars, and respectible for what they are.
also, I thought they were DSMs.

3/S's are extremely heavy and ugly. They are the the cheapest looking TT car from the 90's. Then again, this is an internet opinion. If I knew any of you 3GT owners in "real" life, chances are I'd enjoy your car and respect your choice in purchasing it. But since you don't know me and I don't know you, there's no need to worry about 'hurt feelings'.
I've ran into two of the newer one's, one 3GT VR4 and one Stealth R/T. I smoked both of them by a couple car-lengths through 3rd gear in my old Turbo II with intake/exhaust and porting (stock turbo). Granted, both appeared unmodified and were driven by your regular Joe's--it was still satisfying to take down a 300hp TT car in my slightly modified '88 Turbo II.

and stock for stock the vr4 is faster than the fd.
but the factory set our boost from 9-12, and the car can handle 14 safley bone stock. so if we were to call that "upping the bost" stock... you do the math.
before i start a riot... no im not saying the vr4 is a better car than the rx7, just stating fact. if i had a choice between the 2 id take an fd. (but it would have to be in ridiculously good condition. Never pushed past 4k rpm.. yea right.
um...dude, I'm about 1 more comment from you from joining the flame fest. you're an ***, and a liar.
come to think of it, you're right...I wouldn't put the VR4 in the same class as a 300ZX TT, Supra TT or FD either, the 300ZX, Supra and FD are rwd "supercars" and I use the term loosely (they are just the closest Japan has come with production cars), and he VR4 really is more of a bloated attempt at an AWD touring car that kinda falls really short of its attempted mark.

DSM = Diamond Star Motor...mitsu = diamond chrysler = star....
In 1970 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries transformed its car-manufacturing division into a subsidiary company called Mitsubishi Motors. A year later the Chrysler Corporation bought 15 percent of Mitsubishi Motors, a move that began a long relationship between the two companies. In the 1970s, for example, Chrysler marketed the Dodge Colt and Plymouth Arrow, both made by Mitsubishi, in the United States.
In 1982 Mitsubishi Motors began marketing automobiles in the United States under its own name. Three years later Mitsubishi and Chrysler formed a joint U.S. operation, Diamond-Star Motors, which manufactured such cars as the Laser, Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Mirage, and Galant. In 1991 Mitsubishi purchased Chrysler’s shares in Diamond-Star. Mitsubishi means “three diamonds” in Japanese.
Diamond Star Motors, which has been explained already, started in 1985 and produced cars until 1993 (MY's '90-'94).
Technically only 1st gen T/E/L and Galant VR4's are DSM's but it is generally accepted that because of a similar powertrain and components 2nd gen T/E's can also be considered DSM's even though DSM no longer existed.
